Και εβαλον αυτον με αλυσεις εις κλωβιον και εφεραν αυτον προς τον βασιλεα της Βαβυλωνος· εν δεσμωτηριω εισηγαγον αυτον, δια να μη ακουσθη πλεον φωνη αυτου επι τα ορη του Ισραηλ.

And they put him in chains and in a cage, and he came to the king of Babylon; and he cast him into prison, that his voice should not be heard on the mountains of Israel.

امك ككرمة مثلك غرست على المياه. كانت مثمرة مفرخة من كثرة المياه.
Και εγειναν εις αυτην ραβδοι ισχυραι δια σκηπτρα των κρατουντων· και ο κορμος αυτης υψωθη εν μεσω των πυκνων κλαδων, και εγεινε περιβλεπτος κατα το υψος αυτης μεταξυ του πληθους των βλαστων αυτης.
English
And she became a rod for a tribe of princes, and was elevated in her bulk in the midst of other trees, and she saw her bulk in the multitude of her branches.

لكنها اقتلعت بغيظ وطرحت على الارض وقد يبّست ريح شرقية ثمرها. قصفت ويبست فروعها القوية. اكلتها النار.
Απεσπασθη ομως μετα θυμου, ερριφθη κατα γης, και ανατολικος ανεμος κατεξηρανε τον καρπον αυτης· αι ισχυραι αυτης ραβδοι συνεθλασθησαν και εξηρανθησαν· πυρ κατεφαγεν αυτας.
English
But she was broken down in wrath, she was cast upon the ground, and the east wind dried up her choice branches: vengeance came upon them, and the rod of her strength was withered; fire consumed it.

Και εξηλθε πυρ απο ραβδου τινος εκ των κλαδων αυτης και κατεφαγε τον καρπον αυτης, ωστε δεν υπηρχε πλεον εν αυτη ραβδος ισχυρα δια σκηπτρον ηγεμονιας· ουτος ειναι ο θρηνος και θελει εισθαι εις θρηνον.
English
And fire is gone out of a rod of her choice boughs, and has devoured her; and there was no rod of strength in her. Her race is become a parable of lamentation, and it shall be for a lamentation.
