مديح لصوم اهل نينوي
+ اَلصَّوْمُ اَلصَّوْمُ لِلنَّفْسِ ثَبَاتٌ: اَلصَّوْمُ اَلصَّوْمُ يَطْرُدُ اَلشَّهَوَاتِ: اَلصَّوْمُ اَلصَّوْمُ يَغْفِرُ اَلزَّلَّاتِ: وَيُخَلِّصُ مَنْ كَانَ تَعْبَانَ.
+ اَلصَّوْمُ اَلصَّوْمُ يَمْحَى اَلْخَطِيَّةَ: وَيُزِيلُ اَلْأَفْكَارَ اَلشَّيْطَانِيَّةَ: لِنَصُمْ يَا إِخْوَةُ بِطَهَارَةٍ وَنِيَّةٍ: صَوْمًا نَقِيًّا رُوحَانِيًّا.
+ صُومُوا صَوْمًا طَاهِرًا بِخُشُوعٍ: كَمَا قَدْ صَامَ اَلرَّبُّ يَسُوعُ: بِقَلْبٍ ذَلِيلٍ مَعَ كَثْرَةِ دُمُوعٍ: لِتَنَالُوا قُوَّةً وَإِيمَانًا.
+ اَللهُ اَلْمُتَحَنِّنُ اَلرَّحْمَنُ: اَلَّذِي لَا يَشَاءُ هَلَاكَ إِنْسَانٍ: كَلَّمَ يُونَانَ قَائِلًا إِعْلَانًا: “اِمْضِ إِلَى نِينَوَى يَا إِنْسَانُ.”
+ أَمَّا اَلنَّبِيُّ يُونَانُ فَكَانَ: قَدْ مَضَى إِلَى تَرْشِيشَ هَرْبَانَ: مِنْ وَجْهِ اَللهِ اَلْقَوِيِّ اَلدَّيَّانِ: فَوَجَدَ سَفِينَةً يَا إِخْوَانُ.
+ بِالنَّوْمِ فَكَّرَ يُونَانُ وَرَاحَ: فِي جَوْفِ اَلسَّفِينَةِ اِنْضَجَعَ وَارْتَاحَ: وَأَمَّا اَلرَّبُّ إِلَهُ اَلْأَرْوَاحِ: سَلَّطَ رِيحًا جَاءَ بِالْعِيَانِ.
+ تَشَاوَرُوا كُلُّ اَلنَّوَاتِيَّةِ: أَنْ يَرْمُوا مَا فِي اَلسَّفِينَةِ بِالْكُلِّيَّةِ: وَالْأَرْيَاحُ كَانَتْ قَوِيَّةً: هَجَمَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ بِالْعِيَانِ.
+ ثُمَّ إِنَّ اَلرَّيِّسَ نَهَضَ وَقَامَ: أَيْقَظَ يُونَانَ مِنَ اَلْمَنَامِ: قَالَ لَهُ “قُمْ لِمَاذَا تَنَامُ: اِنْهَضْ وَلَا تَكُنْ كَسْلَانَ.”
+ جَاهِدْ يَا أَيُّهَا اَلْإِنْسَانُ: وَاطْلُبْ مِنْ إِلَهِكَ اَلْغُفْرَانَ: حَتَّى يَهْدَأَ عَنَّا اَلْهَيَجَانُ: لِنَصِيرَ فِي رَاحَةٍ وَاطْمِئْنَانٍ.”
+ حِينَئِذٍ خَافَ اَلْمَلَّاحُونَ: وَتَشَاوَرُوا جَمِيعُ اَلْحَاضِرُونَ: أَنْ يُلْقُوا قُرْعَةً وَيَعْرِفُونَ: فَصَابَتْ يُونَانَ بِالْمَعَانِ.
+ خَرَجَتِ اَلْقُرْعَةُ عَلَيْهِ: بِأَمْرِ اَلرَّبِّ اَلسَّاكِنِ فِيهِ: فَجَاءَ اَلرِّجَالُ وَطَلَبُوا إِلَيْهِ: “أَخْبِرْنَا بِالْأَمْرِ اَلَّذِي كَانَ.”
+ دَهِشَ يُونَانُ حِينَ سَمِعَ اَلْكَلِمَاتِ: وَقَالَ لَهُمْ قَوْلًا بِثَبَاتٍ: “أَنَا هَارِبٌ مِنْ إِلَهِ اَلسَّمَاوَاتِ: وَالْأَرْضِ وَكُلِّ اَلْأَكْوَانِ.”
+ ذَنْبًا فَعَلْتُ أَيُّهَا اَلْحُضَّارُ: أَمَامَ اَلْخَالِقِ اَلْجَبَّارِ: ” فَقَالُوا لَهُ “وَمَاذَا تَخْتَارُ: وَكَيْفَ اَلْعَمَلُ فِيكَ يَا إِنْسَانُ.”
+ رَدَّ عَلَيْهِمُ اَلنَّبِيُّ اَلْمُخْتَارُ: بِقَلْبٍ حَزِينٍ مَمْلُوءٍ أَضْرَارٍ: “خُذُونِي اِرْمُونِي فِي اَلتَّيَّارِ: وَالْبَحْرُ يَعُودُ لِأَصْلِهِ ثَانٍ.”
+ زَعَقُوا اَلْجَمِيعُ بِبُكَاءٍ وَأَحْزَانٍ: وَقَالُوا “يَا رَبُّ يَا حَنَّانُ: لَا تُهْلِكْنَا بِسَبَبِ هَذَا اَلْإِنْسَانِ: اِغْفِرْ لَنَا يَا رَبُّ يَا رَحْمَانُ.”
+ سَمِعُوا كَلَامَ اَلنَّبِيِّ اَلْكَرِيمِ: وَرَمَوْهُ فِي وَسَطِ اَلْبَحْرِ اَلْعَمِيمِ: فَأَعَدَّ لَهُ اَلرَّبُّ حُوتًا عَظِيمًا: فَبَلَعَ يُونَانَ وَصَارَ هَرْبَانَ.
+ شَاهَدُوا جَمِيعُ اَلنَّوَاتِيَّةِ: اَلْأَرْيَاحَ اَلْعَظِيمَةَ اَلْقَوِيَّةَ: هَدَأَتْ وَبَقِيَتْ مَخْفِيَّةً: وَالْأَمْوَاجُ صَارَتْ تَحْتَانَ.
+ صَارُوا اَلْجَمِيعُ مُتَحَيِّرِينَ: مِنْ هَذَا اَلْمَنْظَرِ يَا حَاضِرِينَ: وَأَقَرُّوا بِأَنَّهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ: بِاسْمِ اَلرَّبِّ اَلْفَوْقَانِيِّ.
+ ضَاقَتْ نَفْسُهُ فِي بَطْنِ اَلْحُوتِ: وَصَلَّى لِرَبِّ اَلصَّبَاؤُوتِ: وَقَالَ “صَرَخْتُ إِلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ لَا يَمُوتُ: اِسْمَعْنِي أَنَا اَلْغَفْلَانُ.”
+ طَلَبْتُكَ مِنْ عُمْقِ اَلْأَبْحَارِ: خَلِّصْنِي يَا رَبُّ يَا غَفَّارُ: مِنْ جَوْفِ اَللُّجَجِ مَعَ اَلتَّيَّارِ: لِأَنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ لَا تَنْسَانِي.”
+ ظَاهِرْ لِي لِأَنَّكَ قَدِيرٌ: وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ أَمْرٌ عَسِيرٌ: لِأَنِّي مُتَرَجٍّ أَنْ أَصِيرَ: وَأَنْظُرَ هَيْكَلَ قُدْسِكَ ثَانٍ.”
+ عَلِمَ اَلْإِلَهُ ضِيقَةَ اَلصِّدِّيقِ: وَقَالَ لِلْحُوتِ قَوْلًا وَثِيقًا: فَقَذَفَ يُونَانَ يَا إِخْوَةُ بِتَحْقِيقٍ: كَمِثْلِ مَا قَالَ اَلدَّيَّانُ.
+ غَفَرَ ذَنْبَهُ وَخَرَجَ بِسَلَامٍ: مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا قَامَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ: وَثَلَاثَةَ لَيَالٍ بِالتَّمَامِ: فِي بَطْنِ اَلْحُوتِ يَا إِخْوَانُ.
+ فَنَادَى اَللهُ يُونَانَ وَقَالَ: “اِمْضِ إِلَى نِينَوَى بِاسْتِعْجَالٍ: وَقُلْ لَهُمْ نِينَوَى تَخْرَبُ فِي اَلْحَالِ: مُزْمِعٌ يَخْسِفُهَا اَلدَّيَّانُ.”
+ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا قَوْلَهُ اَلْخَاطِبِينَ: اَلَّذِينَ فِي نِينَوَى يَا حَاضِرِينَ: رَجَعُوا بِقُلُوبِهِمْ تَائِبِينَ: إِلَيْهِ وَالْتَمَسُوا اَلْغُفْرَانَ.
+ مَلِكُ نِينَوَى حِينَ سَمِعَ اَلْأَخْبَارَ: قَامَ عَنْ كُرْسِيِّهِ يَا حُضَّارُ: لَبِسَ مِسْحًا وَشَالَ اَلتُّرَابَ: وَنَهَضَ حَزِينًا دَهْشَانَ.
+ نَادَى اَلْمُنَادِي بِالْأَصْوَامِ: إِلَى كَمَالِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ: كِبَارٌ وَصِغَارٌ وَبَقَرٌ وَأَغْنَامٌ: حَتَّى اَلْأَطْفَالُ اَلرُّضَّعَانُ.
+ نَدِمَ عَلَى اَلشَّرِّ اَلَّذِي كَانَ أَرَادَ: يَفْعَلُهُ بِأَهْلِ نِينَوَى بِاجْتِهَادٍ: سُبْحَانَهُ رَؤُوفٌ رَبُّ اَلْعِبَادِ: شَفُوقٌ عَلَى جِنْسِ اَلْإِنْسَانِ.
+ هَرَبَ يُونَانُ وَصَارَ مَغْمُومًا: حِينَ تَمَّتْ لَهُ أَرْبَعُونَ يَوْمًا: وَقَالَ “يَا رَبُّ أَنْتَ رَحُومٌ: لِمَاذَا أَرْسَلْتَنِي ثَانٍ.”
+ هُوَذَا اَللهُ كَلَّمَ يُونَانَ: ثَانِيَ مَرَّةٍ وَبَقِيَ غَضْبَانَ: وَقَالَ “يَا رَبُّ مَوْتِي كَانَ: خَيْرٌ مِنْ حَيَاتِي اَلْآنَ.”
+ وَأَمَّا يُونَانُ فَطَلَعَ بَرَّا: اَلْمَدِينَةَ وَنَفْسُهُ عَادَتْ مُرَّةً: وَالشَّمْسُ أَشْرَقَتْ بِالْأَحْرَى: ضَرَبَتْ فِي رَأْسِهِ بِالْعِيَانِ.
+ وَإِنَّ اَللهَ سُبْحَانَهُ قَدِيرٌ: بِحِكْمَتِهِ دَبَّرَ تَدْبِيرًا: خَلَقَ غُصْنًا مِنْ يَقْطِينٍ كَبِيرٍ: وَصَارَ يُونَانُ بِهِ فَرْحَانَ.
+ وَيُونَانُ بِهِ صَارَ مَسْرُورًا: اَلنَّهَارَ كُلَّهُ وَهُوَ مَسْتُورٌ: وَإِنَّ اَللهَ اَلْعَلِيَّ اَلْغَيُورَ: أَرْسَلَ دُودَةً فَأَكَلَتْهَا مِنْ تَحْتَانَ.
+ وَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ اَلصَّبَاحُ: وَطُلُوعُ اَلشَّمْسِ أَشْرَقَ وَلَاحَ: أَمَرَ رِيحًا مِنَ اَلْأَرْيَاحِ: طَرَحَهَا إِلَى أَسْفَلَ تَحْتَانَ.
+ وَإِنَّ اَلشَّمْسَ أَحْرَقَتْ يُونَانَ: ثَانِيَ مَرَّةٍ وَبَقِيَ غَضْبَانَ: وَقَالَ “يَا رَبُّ مَوْتِي كَانَ: خَيْرٌ مِنْ حَيَاتِي اَلْآنَ.”
+ نَادَى اَللهُ يُونَانَ وَقَالَ: “يَا يُونَانُ مَا بَالُكَ حَزِنْتَ فِي اَلْحَالِ: عَلَى شَجَرَةٍ خُلِقَتْ بِالْكَمَالِ: وَفِي لَيْلَةٍ زَالَتْ يَا إِنْسَانُ.
+ لِمَاذَا لَا أَرْحَمُ نِينَوَى: اَلَّتِي فِيهَا اِثْنَا عَشْرَةَ رَبْوَةً: وَمَوَاضِعَ أَيْضًا بِالْكَثْرَةِ: لِمَاذَا أُهْلِكُهَا يَا إِنْسَانُ.
+ لَا تَعْلَمُ يَمِينًا وَلَا يَسَارًا: لِأَنِّي إِلَهٌ رَؤُوفٌ غَفَّارٌ: أَفْرَحُ بِالْخَاطِئِ إِذَا تَابَ وَصَارَ: بِكُلِّ قَلْبِهِ يَا إِنْسَانُ.”
+ لَا تَنْسَانَا نَحْنُ اَلْخُطَاةَ: نَصْرُخُ نَحْوَكَ طَالِبِينَ نَجَاةً: اِقْبَلْنَا يَا مَنْ هُوَ فِي حِضْنِ أَبَاهُ: وَاصْنَعْ مَعَنَا إِحْسَانًا.
+ يَا مَنْ صُلِبَ عَنَّا أَجْمَعِينَ: أَعْطِنَا رَحْمَةً يَوْمَ اَلدِّينِ: وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ اَلْيَمِينِ: فِي فِرْدَوْسِ نَعِيمِ اَلْجِنَانِ.
+ Fasting is stability for the soul: Fasting drives away desires: Fasting forgives transgressions: And saves those who are weary.
+ Fasting wipes away sin: And removes demonic thoughts: Let us fast O brethren with purity and intention: A pure spiritual fast.
+ Fast a pure fast with reverence: As the Lord Jesus has fasted: With a humble heart and many tears: That you may receive strength and faith.
+ God the compassionate and merciful: Who does not desire the destruction of any human: Spoke to Jonah saying a proclamation: “Go to Nineveh O man.”
+ As for the prophet Jonah he was: Having gone to Tarshish fleeing: From the face of God the Mighty Judge: And he found a ship O brethren.
+ In sleep Jonah thought and went: In the belly of the ship he lay down and rested: But the Lord God of spirits: Sent a wind that came in sight.
+ All the sailors consulted: To throw what was in the ship entirely: And the winds were strong: They attacked them clearly.
+ Then the captain rose and stood: He awakened Jonah from his sleep: He said to him “Arise why do you sleep: Rise and do not be lazy.
+ Strive O human: And ask for forgiveness from your God: Until the agitation calms down from us: That we may be in rest and peace.”
+ Then the sailors feared: And all those present consulted: To cast lots and they would know: And it fell upon Jonah clearly.
+ The lot came out upon him: By the command of the Lord dwelling in him: So the men came and asked him: “Tell us about the matter that was.”
+ Jonah was amazed when he heard the words: And said to them a statement with firmness: “I am fleeing from the God of the heavens: And the earth and all the universes.
+ A sin I have committed O those present: Before the Mighty Creator: ” So they said to him “And what do you choose: And how is the work with you O man.”
+ The chosen prophet replied to them: With a sad heart filled with sorrows: “Take me and throw me into the current: And the sea will return to its origin again.”
+ They all cried out with weeping and sorrows: And said “O Lord O Compassionate: Do not destroy us because of this man: Forgive us O Lord O Merciful.”
+ They heard the words of the noble prophet: And threw him into the midst of the deep sea: So the Lord prepared for him a great whale: It swallowed Jonah and he became fleeing.
+ All the sailors witnessed: The great and strong winds: They calmed down and remained hidden: And the waves became low.
+ They all became amazed: From this sight O those present: And they confessed that they were believers: In the name of the Lord Most High.
+ His soul was distressed in the belly of the whale: And he prayed to the Lord of Sabaoth: And said “I cried out to You O He Who does not die: Hear me I the negligent.
+ I sought You from the depth of the seas: Save me O Lord O Forgiver: From the belly of the depths with the current: For You are compassionate and do not forget me.
+ Appear to me for You are Almighty: And there is nothing difficult for You: For I hope to become: And see the temple of Your holiness again.”
+ The God knew the distress of the righteous: And said to the whale a firm word: So it cast out Jonah O brethren with certainty: Just as the Judge said.
+ He forgave his sin and he came out in peace: After he had spent three days: And three nights in full: In the belly of the whale O brethren.
+ Then God called Jonah and said: “Go to Nineveh with haste: And tell them Nineveh shall be destroyed immediately: The Judge is about to overthrow it.”
+ When those who were spoken to heard his words: Those who were in Nineveh O those present: They returned with their hearts repentant: To Him and sought forgiveness.
+ The King of Nineveh when he heard the news: Rose from his throne O those present: He wore sackcloth and threw dust: And rose sad and amazed.
+ The herald called for fasts: To the completion of three days: Great and small and cattle and sheep: Even the nursing infants.
+ He repented of the evil that he had intended: To do to the people of Nineveh with diligence: Glory to Him the compassionate Lord of the servants: Who is pitiful to the human race.
+ Jonah fled and became sorrowful: When forty days were completed for him: And he said “O Lord You are merciful: Why did You send me again.”
+ Behold God spoke to Jonah: A second time and he remained angry: And said “O Lord my death was: Better than my life now.”
+ As for Jonah he went out outside: The city and his soul returned bitter: And the sun shone more intensely: It struck his head clearly.
+ And God the Almighty is: In His wisdom He arranged a plan: He created a branch from a large gourd: And Jonah became happy with it.
+ And Jonah became joyful with it: The whole day while he was sheltered: And God the Most High the Jealous: Sent a worm and it ate it from below.
+ And when the morning came: And the sunrise shone and appeared: He commanded a wind from the winds: It cast it down below.
+ And the sun burned Jonah: A second time and he remained angry: And said “O Lord my death was: Better than my life now.”
+ God called Jonah and said: “O Jonah why are you sad immediately: Over a tree created in perfection: And in a night it perished O man.
+ Why should I not have mercy on Nineveh: Which has twelve myriads: And places also in abundance: Why should I destroy it O man.
+ It does not know its right hand nor its left: For I am a compassionate and forgiving God: I rejoice over the sinner if he repents and becomes: With all his heart O man.”
+ Do not forget us we the sinners: We cry out to You seeking salvation: Accept us O He Who is in the bosom of His Father: And show us kindness.
+ O He Who was crucified for us all: Give us mercy on the Day of Judgment: And make us of the people of the right hand: In the paradise of the delight of the gardens.
+ Das Fasten ist Beständigkeit für die Seele: Das Fasten vertreibt die Begierden: Das Fasten vergibt die Sünden: Und rettet den: der müde ist.
+ Das Fasten tilgt die Sünde: Und entfernt die dämonischen Gedanken: Lasst uns fasten o Brüder mit Reinheit und Absicht: Ein reines geistliches Fasten.
+ Fastet ein reines Fasten mit Ehrfurcht: Wie der Herr Jesus gefastet hat: Mit demütigem Herzen und vielen Tränen: Auf dass ihr Kraft und Glauben empfangt.
+ Gott der Barmherzige und Gnädige: Der nicht den Untergang eines Menschen will: Sprach zu Jona und verkündete: “Gehe nach Ninive o Mensch.”
+ Was aber den Propheten Jona betrifft: Er war nach Tarsis geflohen: Vor dem Angesicht Gottes des mächtigen Richters: Und er fand ein Schiff o Brüder.
+ Im Schlaf dachte Jona und ging: Im Bauch des Schiffes legte er sich nieder und ruhte: Doch der Herr der Gott der Geister: Sandte einen Wind der sichtbar kam.
+ Alle Schiffsleute berieten sich: Alles was im Schiff war gänzlich zu werfen: Und die Winde waren stark: Sie griffen sie deutlich an.
+ Dann stand der Kapitän auf: Er weckte Jona aus dem Schlaf: Er sagte zu ihm “Steh auf warum schläfst du: Steh auf und sei nicht faul.
+ Mühe dich o Mensch: Und bitte deinen Gott um Vergebung: Damit die Aufregung von uns ablässt: Auf dass wir in Ruhe und Frieden seien.”
+ Da fürchteten sich die Schiffsleute: Und alle Anwesenden berieten sich: Das Los zu werfen und sie würden wissen: Und es traf Jona deutlich.
+ Das Los fiel auf ihn: Durch den Befehl des Herrn der in ihm wohnte: So kamen die Männer und fragten ihn: “Berichte uns von der Sache die war.”
+ Jona war erstaunt als er die Worte hörte: Und sagte ihnen eine Aussage mit Beständigkeit: “Ich bin ein Flüchtling vor dem Gott der Himmel: Und der Erde und aller Welten.
+ Eine Sünde habe ich begangen o Anwesende: Vor dem mächtigen Schöpfer: ” Da sagten sie zu ihm “Und was wählst du: Und wie ist das Werk mit dir o Mensch.”
+ Der erwählte Prophet antwortete ihnen: Mit traurigem Herzen voller Schmerzen: “Nehmt mich und werft mich in die Strömung: Und das Meer wird wieder zu seinem Ursprung zurückkehren.”
+ Sie schrien alle mit Weinen und Trauer: Und sagten “O Herr o Barmherziger: Vernichte uns nicht wegen dieses Menschen: Vergib uns o Herr o Gnädiger.”
+ Sie hörten die Worte des edlen Propheten: Und warfen ihn mitten in das tiefe Meer: So bereitete ihm der Herr einen großen Wal: Er verschlang Jona und er wurde ein Flüchtling.
+ Alle Schiffsleute sahen: Die großen und starken Winde: Sie beruhigten sich und blieben verborgen: Und die Wellen wurden niedrig.
+ Sie alle wurden verwundert: Über diesen Anblick o Anwesende: Und sie bekannten dass sie Gläubige seien: Im Namen des Herrn des Höchsten.
+ Seine Seele war bedrängt im Bauch des Wals: Und er betete zum Herrn der Heerscharen: Und sagte “Ich schrie zu Dir o Du der nicht stirbt: Erhöre mich ich der Nachlässige.
+ Ich suchte Dich aus der Tiefe der Meere: Rette mich o Herr o Vergeber: Aus dem Bauch der Abgründe mit der Strömung: Denn Du bist barmherzig und vergisst mich nicht.
+ Erscheine mir denn Du bist allmächtig: Und nichts ist für Dich schwierig: Denn ich hoffe zu werden: Und den Tempel Deiner Heiligkeit wieder zu sehen.”
+ Gott kannte die Not des Gerechten: Und sagte zum Wal ein festes Wort: So spie er Jona aus o Brüder mit Gewissheit: Genau wie der Richter sagte.
+ Er vergab seine Sünde und er kam in Frieden heraus: Nachdem er verbracht hatte drei Tage: Und drei Nächte vollkommen: Im Bauch des Wals o Brüder.
+ Da rief Gott Jona und sagte: “Gehe nach Ninive in Eile: Und sage ihnen Ninive wird sogleich zerstört: Der Richter ist im Begriff es zu stürzen.”
+ Als die Angesprochenen seine Worte hörten: Die in Ninive waren o Anwesende: Kehrten sie mit ihren Herzen um: Zu Ihm und baten um Vergebung.
+ Der König von Ninive als er die Nachrichten hörte: Stand von seinem Thron auf o Anwesende: Er trug ein Bußgewand und warf Staub: Und stand traurig und erstaunt auf.
+ Der Ausrufer rief zum Fasten: Bis zur Vollendung von drei Tagen: Große und Kleine und Rinder und Schafe: Sogar die säugenden Kinder.
+ Er bereute das Böse das er beabsichtigt hatte: Den Menschen von Ninive mit Eifer anzutun: Ehre Ihm dem barmherzigen Herrn der Diener: Der mitleidig mit dem Menschengeschlecht ist.
+ Jona floh und wurde betrübt: Als vierzig Tage für ihn vollendet waren: Und er sagte “O Herr Du bist barmherzig: Warum hast Du mich wieder gesandt.”
+ Siehe Gott sprach zu Jona: Ein zweites Mal und er blieb zornig: Und sagte “O Herr mein Tod war: Besser als mein Leben jetzt.”

+ Vergiss uns nicht wir die Sünder: Wir schreien zu Dir um Rettung suchend: Nimm uns an o Du der Du im Schoß Deines Vaters bist: Und erweise uns Güte.
+ O Du der Du für uns alle gekreuzigt wurdest: Schenke uns Barmherzigkeit am Tag des Gerichts: Und mache uns zu den Menschen der Rechten: Im Paradies der Wonne der Gärten.

+ Jeûnez un jeûne pur avec révérence: Comme le Seigneur Jésus a jeûné: Avec un cœur humble et beaucoup de larmes: Afin que vous receviez force et foi.
+ Dieu le compatissant et miséricordieux: Qui ne désire pas la destruction d’un humain: A parlé à Jonas en proclamant: “Va à Ninive ô homme.”
+ Quant au prophète Jonas il était: Ayant fui vers Tarsis: Devant la face de Dieu le Juge puissant: Et il trouva un navire ô frères.
+ Dans le sommeil Jonas pensa et partit: Dans le ventre du navire il se coucha et se reposa: Mais le Seigneur Dieu des esprits: Envoya un vent qui apparut visiblement.
+ Tous les marins se consultèrent: Pour jeter tout ce qui était dans le navire: Et les vents étaient forts: Ils les attaquèrent clairement.
+ Puis le capitaine se leva et se tint debout: Il réveilla Jonas de son sommeil: Il lui dit “Lève-toi pourquoi dors-tu: Lève-toi et ne sois pas paresseux.
+ Lutte ô humain: Et demande pardon à ton Dieu: Jusqu’à ce que l’agitation se calme: Afin que nous soyons dans le repos et la paix.”
+ Alors les marins eurent peur: Et tous ceux qui étaient présents se consultèrent: Pour tirer au sort et ils sauraient: Et cela tomba sur Jonas clairement.
+ Le sort tomba sur lui: Par l’ordre du Seigneur habitant en lui: Alors les hommes vinrent et lui demandèrent: “Raconte-nous l’affaire qui était.”
+ Jonas fut étonné quand il entendit les paroles: Et leur dit une déclaration avec fermeté: “Je fuis le Dieu des cieux: Et de la terre et de tous les univers.
+ Un péché j’ai commis ô vous présents: Devant le Créateur puissant: ” Alors ils lui dirent “Et que choisis-tu: Et quel est le travail avec toi ô homme.”
+ Le prophète choisi leur répondit: Avec un cœur triste rempli de douleurs: “Prenez-moi et jetez-moi dans le courant: Et la mer retournera à son origine à nouveau.”
+ Ils crièrent tous avec pleurs et tristesses: Et dirent “Ô Seigneur ô Compatissant: Ne nous détruis pas à cause de cet homme: Pardonne-nous ô Seigneur ô Miséricordieux.”
+ Ils entendirent les paroles du noble prophète: Et le jetèrent au milieu de la mer profonde: Alors le Seigneur prépara pour lui une grande baleine: Elle engloutit Jonas et il devint un fugitif.
+ Tous les marins furent témoins: Des vents grands et forts: Ils se calmèrent et restèrent cachés: Et les vagues devinrent basses.
+ Ils furent tous étonnés: De ce spectacle ô vous présents: Et ils confessèrent qu’ils étaient croyants: Au nom du Seigneur Très-Haut.
+ Son âme était oppressée dans le ventre de la baleine: Et il pria le Seigneur des Sabaoth: Et dit “J’ai crié vers Toi ô Toi qui ne meurs pas: Écoute-moi moi le négligent.
+ Je T’ai cherché du fond des mers: Sauve-moi ô Seigneur ô Pardonneur: Du ventre des abîmes avec le courant: Car Tu es compatissant et Tu ne m’oublies pas.
+ Apparais-moi car Tu es Tout-Puissant: Et rien n’est difficile pour Toi: Car j’espère devenir: Et voir le temple de Ta sainteté à nouveau.”
+ Dieu connut la détresse du juste: Et dit à la baleine une parole ferme: Alors elle rejeta Jonas ô frères avec certitude: Tout comme le Juge a dit.
+ Il pardonna son péché et il sortit en paix: Après avoir passé trois jours: Et trois nuits en entier: Dans le ventre de la baleine ô frères.
+ Alors Dieu appela Jonas et dit: “Va à Ninive avec hâte: Et dis-leur Ninive sera détruite immédiatement: Le Juge est sur le point de la renverser.”
+ Quand ceux à qui il s’adressait entendirent ses paroles: Ceux qui étaient à Ninive ô vous présents: Ils revinrent avec leurs cœurs repentants: Vers Lui et demandèrent pardon.
+ Le roi de Ninive quand il entendit les nouvelles: Se leva de son trône ô vous présents: Il porta un sac et jeta de la poussière: Et se leva triste et étonné.
+ Le héraut appela aux jeûnes: Jusqu’à l’achèvement de trois jours: Grands et petits et bétail et brebis: Même les nourrissons.
+ Il se repentit du mal qu’il avait voulu: Faire aux habitants de Ninive avec zèle: Gloire à Lui le Seigneur compatissant des serviteurs: Qui est pitoyable envers le genre humain.
+ Jonas s’enfuit et devint triste: Quand quarante jours furent accomplis pour lui: Et il dit “Ô Seigneur Tu es miséricordieux: Pourquoi m’as-Tu envoyé à nouveau.”
+ Voici Dieu parla à Jonas: Une seconde fois et il resta en colère: Et dit “Ô Seigneur ma mort était: Meilleure que ma vie maintenant.”
+ Quant à Jonas il sortit dehors: De la ville et son âme redevint amère: Et le soleil brilla plus intensément: Il frappa sa tête clairement.
+ Et Dieu le Tout-Puissant est: Dans Sa sagesse Il a arrangé un plan: Il créa une branche d’une grande courge: Et Jonas en devint heureux.
+ Et Jonas en devint joyeux: Toute la journée pendant qu’il était abrité: Et Dieu le Très-Haut le Jaloux: Envoya un ver et il la mangea par en bas.
+ Et quand le matin vint: Et le lever du soleil brilla et apparut: Il commanda un vent des vents: Il le jeta vers le bas.
+ Et le soleil brûla Jonas: Une seconde fois et il resta en colère: Et dit “Ô Seigneur ma mort était: Meilleure que ma vie maintenant.”
+ Dieu appela Jonas et dit: “Ô Jonas pourquoi es-tu triste immédiatement: Pour un arbre créé en perfection: Et en une nuit il a péri ô homme.
+ Pourquoi ne devrais-je pas avoir pitié de Ninive: Qui a douze myriades: Et des lieux aussi en abondance: Pourquoi devrais-je la détruire ô homme.
+ Elle ne connaît ni sa main droite ni sa gauche: Car Je suis un Dieu compatissant et pardonneur: Je me réjouis du pécheur s’il se repent et devient: De tout son cœur ô homme.”
+ Ne nous oublie pas nous les pécheurs: Nous crions vers Toi cherchant le salut: Accepte-nous ô Toi qui es dans le sein de Ton Père: Et montre-nous de la bonté.
+ Ô Toi qui fus crucifié pour nous tous: Donne-nous miséricorde au jour du Jugement: Et fais de nous des gens de la droite: Dans le paradis de la délices des jardins.
+ El ayuno es estabilidad para el alma: El ayuno expulsa los deseos: El ayuno perdona las faltas: Y salva a quien está cansado.
+ El ayuno borra el pecado: Y elimina los pensamientos demoníacos: Ayunemos oh hermanos con pureza e intención: Un ayuno puro y espiritual.
+ Ayunen un ayuno puro con reverencia: Como el Señor Jesús ha ayunado: Con un corazón humilde y muchas lágrimas: Para que reciban fuerza y fe.

+ Jonás se asombró cuando escuchó las palabras: Y les dijo una declaración con firmeza: “Yo huyo del Dios de los cielos: Y de la tierra y de todos los universos.

+ Su alma estaba oprimida en el vientre de la ballena: Y oró al Señor de los Sabaoth: Y dijo “Grité hacia Ti oh Tú que no mueres: Escúchame a mí el negligente.
+ Te busqué desde el fondo de los mares: Sálvame oh Señor oh Perdonador: Del vientre de los abismos con la corriente: Porque Tú eres compasivo y no me olvidas.
+ Aparéceme porque Tú eres Todopoderoso: Y nada es difícil para Ti: Porque espero llegar a ser: Y ver el templo de Tu santidad de nuevo.”
+ Dios conoció la angustia del justo: Y dijo a la ballena una palabra firme: Entonces arrojó a Jonás oh hermanos con certeza: Tal como el Juez dijo.
+ Perdonó su pecado y él salió en paz: Después de haber pasado tres días: Y tres noches por completo: En el vientre de la ballena oh hermanos.
+ Entonces Dios llamó a Jonás y dijo: “Ve a Nínive con prisa: Y diles Nínive será destruida inmediatamente: El Juez está a punto de derribarla.”

+ En cuanto a Jonás él salió fuera: De la ciudad y su alma volvió a ser amarga: Y el sol brilló más intensamente: Golpeó su cabeza claramente.
+ Y Dios el Todopoderoso es: En Su sabiduría Él arregló un plan: Creó una rama de una gran calabaza: Y Jonás se puso feliz con ella.
+ Y Jonás se puso alegre con ella: Todo el día mientras estaba resguardado: Y Dios el Altísimo el Celoso: Envió un gusano y la comió desde abajo.
+ Y cuando llegó la mañana: Y el amanecer brilló y apareció: Ordenó un viento de los vientos: Lo arrojó hacia abajo.
+ Y el sol quemó a Jonás: Una segunda vez y él permaneció enojado: Y dijo “Oh Señor mi muerte era: Mejor que mi vida ahora.”
+ Dios llamó a Jonás y dijo: “Oh Jonás por qué estás triste inmediatamente: Por un árbol creado en perfección: Y en una noche pereció oh hombre.
+ Por qué no debería tener piedad de Nínive: Que tiene doce miríadas: Y lugares también en abundancia: Por qué debería destruirla oh hombre.
+ No conoce ni su mano derecha ni su izquierda: Porque Yo soy un Dios compasivo y perdonador: Me regocijo por el pecador si se arrepiente y llega a ser: Con todo su corazón oh hombre.”
+ No nos olvides a nosotros los pecadores: Gritamos hacia Ti buscando la salvación: Acéptanos oh Tú que estás en el seno de Tu Padre: Y muéstranos bondad.
+ Oh Tú que fuiste crucificado por nosotros todos: Danos misericordia en el día del Juicio: Y haznos de la gente de la derecha: En el paraíso de la delicia de los jardines.
