Ο δε Ιησους επορευετο μετ' αυτων. Ενω δε απειχεν ηδη ου μακραν απο της οικιας, επεμψε προς αυτον ο εκατονταρχος φιλους, λεγων προς αυτον· Κυριε, μη ενοχλεισαι· διοτι δεν ειμαι αξιος να εισελθης υπο την στεγην μου·

And Jesus was walking with them. And now he being not far from the house, the centurion sent to him friends, saying to him: Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest come in under (the) roof of my house:

Διοτι και εγω ειμαι ανθρωπος υποκειμενος εις εξουσιαν, εχων υπ' εμαυτον στρατιωτας, και λεγω προς τουτον, Υπαγε, και υπαγει; και προς αλλον, Ερχου, και ερχεται, και προς τον δουλον μου, Καμε τουτο, και καμνει.
English
For I also am a man ranked under authority, having (lit. being) soldiers under me: and I say to this (one), "Go," he goeth; and another, "Come," and he cometh; and my servant, "Do this," and he doeth it.'

ولما سمع يسوع هذا تعجب منه والتفت الى الجمع الذي يتبعه وقال اقول لكم لم اجد ولا في اسرائيل ايمانا بمقدار هذا.
Ακουσας δε ταυτα ο Ιησους εθαυμασεν αυτον, και στραφεις προς τον οχλον τον ακολουθουντα αυτον, ειπε· Σας λεγω, Ουδε εν τω Ισραηλ ευρον τοσαυτην πιστιν.
English
And Jesus having heard these (things) wondered at him, and having turned himself, he said: 'I say to you that neither in all Israel found I [not] faith of this degree.'

ورجع المرسلون الى البيت فوجدوا العبد المريض قد صحّ
Ως δε επλησιασεν εις την πυλην της πολεως, ιδου, εφερετο εξω νεκρος υιος μονογενης της μητρος αυτου, και αυτη ητο χηρα, και οχλος πολυς της πολεως ητο μετ' αυτης.
English
Now when he approached to the gate of the city, lo, they were taking one away dead, being the (lit. a) only son of his mother, and she (lit. this) was a widow: and there was a great multitude of the city with her.
Και αποκριθεις ο Ιησους, ειπε προς αυτους· Υπαγετε και απαγγειλατε προς τον Ιωαννην οσα ειδετε και ηκουσατε· οτι τυφλοι αναβλεπουσι, χωλοι περιπατουσι, λεπροι καθαριζονται, κωφοι ακουουσι, νεκροι εγειρονται, πτωχοι ευαγγελιζονται·
English
And he answered, he said to them: 'Go, tell John the things which ye see, and which ye heard; the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise, the poor have good tidings preached to them.
Αφου δε ανεχωρησαν οι απεσταλμενοι του Ιωαννου, ηρχισε να λεγη προς τους οχλους περι του Ιωαννου· Τι εξηλθετε εις την ερημον να ιδητε; καλαμον υπο ανεμου σαλευομενον;

And the messengers of John having gone, he began to say to the multitudes concerning John: 'What came ye out to (the) desert to see? a reed shaken by a wind?

بل ماذا خرجتم لتنظروا أانسانا لابسا ثيابا ناعمة. هوذا الذين في اللباس الفاخر والتنعم هم في قصور الملوك.
Αλλα τι εξηλθετε να ιδητε; ανθρωπον ενδεδυμενον μαλακα ιματια; ιδου, οι λαμπρως ενδεδυμενοι και τρυφωντες ευρισκονται εν τοις βασιλικοις παλατιοις.
English
But what came ye out to see? a man who is clothed with soft raiment (plur.)? Behold, those with the garments of (the) glory and (the) delight are in (the) house of the kings.

Διοτι σας λεγω, μεταξυ των γεννηθεντων εκ γυναικων ουδεις προφητης ειναι μεγαλητερος Ιωαννου του βαπτιστου· πλην ο μικροτερος εν τη βασιλεια του Θεου ειναι μεγαλητερος αυτου.
English
I say to you, that among (the) offspring of [the] women there is not any greater than John: but the lesser than he in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he.'

Ειναι ομοιοι με παιδια καθημενα εν τη αγορα και φωναζοντα προς αλληλα και λεγοντα· Αυλον σας επαιξαμεν, και δεν εχορευσατε· σας εθρηνωδησαμεν, και δεν εκλαυσατε.
English
They are like to children who sit in a marketplace, and calling to one another, saying: "We sang to you, and ye danced not: we mourned, and ye wept not."

and having stood behind at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and was kissing his feet, anointing them with the ointment.

فلما رأى الفريسي الذي دعاه ذلك تكلم في نفسه قائلا لو كان هذا نبيا لعلم من هذه المرأة التي تلمسه وما هي. انها خاطئة.
Ιδων δε ο Φαρισαιος ο καλεσας αυτον, ειπε καθ' εαυτον λεγων· Ουτος, εαν ητο προφητης, ηθελε γνωριζει τις και οποια ειναι η γυνη, ητις εγγιζει αυτον, οτι ειναι αμαρτωλη.

And the Pharisee who invited him, having seen, said in himself, saying: If this (man) were a prophet, he would have known what [is] and of what sort is this woman who touched him, that she is a sinner.'

And having turned to the woman, he said to Simon: Thou seest this woman. I came into thy house. thou gavest not water for my feet: but this (one), she wetted my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hairs.

Therefore I say to thee, that her sins which are great are forgiven her, because she loved greatly. For to whom they forgive little, he loveth little.'
