και ειπε προς αυτον ο διαβολος· εις σε θελω δωσει απασαν την εξουσιαν ταυτην και την δοξαν αυτων, διοτι εις εμε ειναι παραδεδομενη, και εις οντινα θελω διδω αυτην.

And the devil said to him: 'I will give to thee all this authority, and their glory, because to me it is delivered; and to him whom I wish I give it.
Και αποκριθεις προς αυτον, ειπεν ο Ιησους· Υπαγε οπισω μου, Σατανα· διοτι ειναι γεγραμμενον, θελεις προσκυνησει Κυριον τον Θεον σου και αυτον μονον θελεις λατρευσει.

And Jesus answered, he said to him: 'It is written, that the Lord thy God thou shalt worship, and him alone thou shalt serve.'

ثم جاء به الى اورشليم واقامه على جناح الهيكل وقال له ان كنت ابن الله فاطرح نفسك من هنا الى اسفل.
Και εφερεν αυτον εις Ιερουσαλημ και εστησεν αυτον επι το πτερυγιον του ιερου και ειπε προς αυτον· Εαν εισαι ο Υιος του Θεου, ριψον σεαυτον εντευθεν κατω·

And he brought him, again, up to Jerusalem, and made him stand upon (the) wing of the temple, and said to him: If thou art (the) Son of God, throw thyself down from here (lit. this):
Και ηλθεν εις την Ναζαρετ, οπου ητο ανατεθραμμενος, και εισηλθε κατα την συνηθειαν αυτου εις την συναγωγην εν τη ημερα του σαββατου και εσηκωθη να αναγνωση.

And he came to Nazareth, the place in which he was brought up: and he went into the synagogue on the day of the sabbaths, according to the custom, and rose to read.

فدفع اليه سفر اشعياء النبي. ولما فتح السفر وجد الموضع الذي كان مكتوبا فيه

Και παντες εμαρτυρουν εις αυτον και εθαυμαζον δια τους λογους της χαριτος τους εξερχομενους εκ του στοματος αυτου και ελεγον· Δεν ειναι ουτος ο υιος του Ιωσηφ;

And they were all bearing witness to him, and were wondering at the words of [the] grace, which were coming from his mouth. And they were saying: Is not this (the) son of Joseph?'

Και ειπε προς αυτους· Βεβαιως θελετε με ειπει την παραβολην ταυτην· Ιατρε, θεραπευσον σεαυτον· οσα ηκουσαμεν οτι εγειναν εν τη Καπερναουμ, καμε και εδω εν τη πατριδι σου.

And he said to them: Ye will altogether say this parable to me: "Physician, heal thine own self:" the things which we heard of having been done in Kapharnaum, do here also in thy city.'
Και επ' αληθειας σας λεγω, Πολλαι χηραι ησαν εν τω Ισραηλ επι των ημερων Ηλιου, οτε εκλεισθη ο ουρανος επι ετη τρια και μηνας εξ, καθ' ον καιρον εγεινε πεινα μεγαλη εφ' ολην την γην,
English
And truly I say to you, that there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elias, when (the) heaven was shut for three years and six months, so that there was a great famine upon all (the) earth;

and they rose, they thrust (lit. threw) him outside of the city, and they brought him forth upon (the) height of the mountain upon which their city was (imperf.) set, so that they might cast him down headlong.

Και επετιμησεν αυτο ο Ιησους, λεγων· Σιωπα και εξελθε εξ αυτου. Και το δαιμονιον ερριψεν αυτον εις το μεσον και εξηλθεν απ' αυτου, χωρις να βλαψη αυτον παντελως.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying: Be silenced, and come out of him.' And the demon having cast him down in (lit. to the) midst, came out of him, he gave not any pain to him.

فوقعت دهشة على الجميع وكانوا يخاطبون بعضهم بعضا قائلين ما هذه الكلمة. لانه بسلطان وقوة يامر الارواح النجسة فتخرج.
Και εξεπλαγησαν παντες και συνελαλουν προς αλληλους, λεγοντες· Τις ειναι ο λογος ουτος, οτι μετα εξουσιας και δυναμεως προσταζει τα ακαθαρτα πνευματα, και εξερχονται;

And a great fear came upon them all, and they were speaking to one another, saying: What is this word? because with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, they come out.'
Σηκωθεις δε εκ της συναγωγης, εισηλθεν εις την οικιαν του Σιμωνος. Η πενθερα δε του Σιμωνος εκρατειτο υπο πυρετου μεγαλου, και παρεκαλεσαν αυτον περι αυτης.

And he rose from the synagogue, he went into (the) house of Simon. And (the) mother-in-law of Simon--there was a great fever with her, and they were beseeching him for her.

فوقف فوقها وانتهر الحمّى فتركتها وفي الحال قامت وصارت تخدمهم.
Ενω δε εδυεν ο ηλιος, παντες οσοι ειχον ασθενουντας υπο διαφορων νοσων εφεραν αυτους προς αυτον· εκεινος δε επιθεσας τας χειρας εις ενα εκαστον αυτων εθεραπευσεν αυτους.

And (the) sun having set, all who have sick folk in sicknesses of many kinds (are) bringing them to him. And he having laid hand on each of them, healed them.

وكانت شياطين ايضا تخرج من كثيرين وهي تصرخ وتقول انت المسيح ابن الله. فانتهرهم ولم يدعهم يتكلمون لانهم عرفوه انه المسيح
Εξηρχοντο δε και δαιμονια απο πολλων, κραζοντα και λεγοντα οτι Συ εισαι ο Χριστος ο Υιος του Θεου. Και επιτιμων αυτα δεν αφινε να λαλωσιν, επειδη εγνωριζον αυτον οτι ειναι ο Χριστος.
English
And demons also were coming out from many, crying out, saying: Thou art (the) Son of God.' And he was rebuking them; he permits them not to speak, because they were knowing him, that he is Christ.

ولما صار النهار خرج وذهب الى موضع خلاء وكان الجموع يفتشون عليه فجاءوا اليه وامسكوه لئلا يذهب عنهم.
Και οτε εγεινεν ημερα, εξελθων υπηγεν εις ερημον τοπον και οι οχλοι εζητουν αυτον, και ηλθον εως αυτου και εκρατουν αυτον δια να μη αναχωρηση απ' αυτων.

And the day having come, he came forth, he went to a desert place: and the multitudes were seeking for him, and they came to him, and were laying hold on him, that he should not go from them.
