Και μεχρι τινος δεν ηθελησε· μετα δε ταυτα ειπε καθ' εαυτον· Αν και τον Θεον δεν φοβωμαι και ανθρωπον δεν εντρεπωμαι,

And he was not wishing (to do it) for (lit. until) a time: but after these (things) he said in himself: "Let it be that I fear not before God, and am not ashamed before [the] men;

فاني لاجل ان هذه الارملة تزعجني انصفها لئلا تأتي دائما فتقمعني.
Ο Φαρισαιος σταθεις προσηυχετο καθ' εαυτον ταυτα· Ευχαριστω σοι, Θεε, οτι δεν ειμαι καθως οι λοιποι ανθρωποι, αρπαγες, αδικοι, μοιχοι, η και καθως ουτος ο τελωνης·
English
And the Pharisee having stood was praying these (things) in himself: "God, I give thanks to thee that I am not as (the) rest of the men, extortioners, violent, adulterous, or even as this publican.
Και ο τελωνης μακροθεν ισταμενος, δεν ηθελεν ουδε τους οφθαλμους να υψωση εις τον ουρανον, αλλ' ετυπτεν εις το στηθος αυτου, λεγων· Ο Θεος, ιλασθητι μοι τω αμαρτωλω.
English
But the publican, standing afar off, was not wishing even to lift his eyes up to (the) heaven, but was striking upon (lit. in) his breast, saying: "God forgive me, because I (am) a sinner."

اقول لكم ان هذا نزل الى بيته مبررا دون ذاك. لان كل من يرفع نفسه يتضع ومن يضع نفسه يرتفع
Σας λεγω, Κατεβη ουτος εις τον οικον αυτου δεδικαιωμενος μαλλον παρα εκεινος· διοτι πας ο υψων εαυτον θελει ταπεινωθη, ο δε ταπεινων εαυτον θελει υψωθη.
English
I say to you, that this (one) went down justified into his house (rather) than that (one): because every one who will exalt himself will be humiliated; but he who will humiliate himself will be exalted.'

فقدّموا اليه الاطفال ايضا ليلمسهم فلما رآهم التلاميذ انتهروهم.
Ακουσας δε ταυτα ο Ιησους, ειπε προς αυτον· Ετι εν σοι λειπει· παντα οσα εχεις πωλησον και διαμοιρασον εις πτωχους, και θελεις εχει θησαυρον εν ουρανω, και ελθε, ακολουθει μοι.
English
And Jesus having heard, said to him: Yet (there) is another thing which thou lackest: sell all things which thou hast, and distribute them to the poor, and thou shalt get for thee a treasure in the heavens, and come, walk after me.'
Ο δε ειπε προς αυτους· Αληθως σας λεγω οτι δεν ειναι ουδεις, οστις αφηκεν οικιαν η γονεις η αδελφους η γυναικα η τεκνα ενεκεν της βασιλειας του Θεου,

And he said to them: Verily I say to you, that there is not any one who left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or sons, because of the kingdom of God,

الا ويأخذ في هذا الزمان اضعافا كثيرة وفي الدهر الآتي الحياة الابدية
Παραλαβων δε τους δωδεκα, ειπε προς αυτους· Ιδου, αναβαινομεν εις Ιεροσολυμα, και θελουσιν εκτελεσθη παντα τα γεγραμμενα δια των προφητων εις τον Υιον του ανθρωπου.

And having brought (close) to him the twelve, he said to them: Lo, we shall (lit. will) go up to Jerusalem, and all things will be fulfilled, which are written by the prophets concerning (the) Son of (the) man.
Και αυτοι δεν ενοησαν ουδεν εκ τουτων, και ητο ο λογος ουτος κεκρυμμενος απ' αυτων, και δεν ενοουν τα λεγομενα.

And they understood not any of these (things); and the word was (imperf.) hidden from (lit. to) them, and they were not knowing the things which he was saying.
