Τοτε ιδων Ιουδας ο παραδοσας αυτον οτι κατεδικασθη, μεταμεληθεις επεστρεψε τα τριακοντα αργυρια εις τους πρεσβυτερους,

Then Judas, who delivered him (up), having seen that he was condemned, having repented, returned the thirty (pieces) of silver to the chief priests and the elders,
Οι δε αρχιερεις, λαβοντες τα αργυρια, ειπον· Δεν ειναι συγκεχωρημενον να βαλωμεν αυτα εις το θησαυροφυλακιον, διοτι ειναι τιμη αιματος.
English
And the chief priests, having taken the silver (pieces), said: It is not lawful to cast them to the sacred-treasury, because it is (the) price of blood.'
Τοτε επληρωθη το ρηθεν δια Ιερεμιου του προφητου, λεγοντος· Και ελαβον τα τριακοντα αργυρια, την τιμην του εκτιμηθεντος, τον οποιον εξετιμησαν απο των υιων Ισραηλ,

Then was fulfilled that which he spake by Jeremias the prophet, saying: They took the thirty (pieces) of silver, the price of him whom (the) sons of Israel priced,
Ο δε Ιησους εσταθη εμπροσθεν του ηγεμονος· και ηρωτησεν αυτον ο ηγεμων, λεγων· Συ εισαι ο βασιλευς των Ιουδαιων; Ο δε Ιησους ειπε προς αυτον· Συ λεγεις.
English
Now Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying: Art thou (the) king of the Jews? 'And Jesus said: Thou saidst.'

وبينما كان رؤساء الكهنة والشيوخ يشتكون عليه لم يجب بشيء.
Ενω δε εκαθητο επι του βηματος, απεστειλε προς αυτον η γυνη αυτου, λεγουσα· Απεχε του δικαιου εκεινου· διοτι πολλα επαθον σημερον κατ' οναρ δι' αυτον.
English
And (as he is) sitting on the judgement seat, his wife sent to him, saying: Do nothing to that righteous man, for I suffered much because of him this night in (the) dream.'

ولكن رؤساء الكهنة والشيوخ حرّضوا الجموع على ان يطلبوا باراباس ويهلكوا يسوع.
Και ιδων ο Πιλατος οτι ουδεν ωφελει, αλλα μαλλον θορυβος γινεται, λαβων υδωρ ενιψε τας χειρας αυτου εμπροσθεν του οχλου, λεγων· Αθωος ειμαι απο του αιματος του δικαιου τουτου· υμεις οψεσθε.
English
So Pilate having seen that he will gain nothing, but rather (that) a tumult will be made, took water, washed his hands before the multitude, saying: I am innocent from (the) blood of this righteous (man): ye shall suffice for (it).'
και πλεξαντες στεφανον εξ ακανθων, εθεσαν επι την κεφαλην αυτου και καλαμον εις την δεξιαν αυτου, και γονυπετησαντες εμπροσθεν αυτου, ενεπαιζον αυτον, λεγοντες· Χαιρε, ο βασιλευς των Ιουδαιων·
English
And they plaited a crown of thorns, they placed it upon his head, and they put a reed in his right hand; and they threw themselves upon their knees before him, mocking him, saying: Hail, (the) king of the Jews!'
Ενω δε εξηρχοντο, ευρον ανθρωπον Κυρηναιον, ονομαζομενον Σιμωνα· τουτον ηγγαρευσαν δια να σηκωση τον σταυρον αυτου.
English
And coming out they found a man--a Cyrenian whose name was (lit. is) Simon: this (one) they compelled to go (with them) that he might take up his cross.

εδωκαν εις αυτον να πιη οξος μεμιγμενον μετα χολης· και γευθεις δεν ηθελε να πιη.

they gave wine to him mingled with gall: and having tasted he wished not to drink.

και λεγοντες· Ο χαλων τον ναον και δια τριων ημερων οικοδομων, σωσον σεαυτον· αν ησαι Υιος του Θεου, καταβα απο του σταυρου.
English
saying: Thou (lit. he) who will destroy the temple of God, and build it in three days,--save thyself. If thou art (the) Son of God come down from the tree (lit. wood).'

وكذلك رؤساء الكهنة ايضا وهم يستهزئون مع الكتبة والشيوخ قالوا
Αλλους εσωσεν, εαυτον δεν δυναται να σωση· αν ηναι βασιλευς του Ισραηλ, ας καταβη τωρα απο του σταυρου και θελομεν πιστευσει εις αυτον·
English
He saved others; it is not possible for him to save himself. If (he) is (the) king of Israel, let him come down now from the tree, and let us believe him.

Now the centurion, and they who were with him, guarding Jesus, having seen the earthquake, and the things which were done, feared greatly, saying: Truly this was (the) Son of God.'

وكانت هناك نساء كثيرات ينظرن من بعيد وهنّ كنّ قد تبعن يسوع من الجليل يخدمنه.
Προσταξον λοιπον να ασφαλισθη ο ταφος εως της τριτης ημερας, μηποτε οι μαθηται αυτου ελθοντες δια νυκτος κλεψωσιν αυτον και ειπωσι προς τον λαον, Ανεστη εκ των νεκρων· και θελει εισθαι η εσχατη πλανη χειροτερα της πρωτης.
English
Command then, to make sure the sepulchre until the third day, lest his disciples come and take him away by stealth, and say to the people, that he rose from the dead: and the last error (will be) worse for us than the first.'
