قَوْلُ الرَّبِّ الَّذِي صَارَ إِلَى مِيخَا الْمُورَشْتِيِّ فِي أَيَّامِ يُوثَامَ وَآحَازَ وَحَزَقِيَّا مُلُوكِ يَهُوذَا، الَّذِي رَآهُ عَلَى السَّامِرَةِ وَأُورُشَلِيمَ:
דְּבַר־יְהוָ֣ה ׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָיָ֗ה אֶל־מִיכָה֙ הַמֹּ֣רַשְׁתִּ֔י בִּימֵ֥י יֹותָ֛ם אָחָ֥ז יְחִזְקִיָּ֖ה מַלְכֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־חָזָ֥ה עַל־שֹׁמְרֹ֖ון וִירֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Ⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϩⲁ ⲙⲓⲭⲉⲁⲥ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲣⲁⲑⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲓⲱⲁⲑⲁⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲁⲭⲁⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉⲍⲉⲕⲓⲁⲥ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅
The word of the Lord that came to Micah of Mo′resheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezeki′ah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samar′ia and Jerusalem.
And the word of the Lord came to Michaeas the son of Morasthi, in the days of Joatham, and Achaz, and Ezekias, kings of Juda, concerning what he saw regarding Samaria and Jerusalem.
καί γίγνομαι λόγος κύριος πρός μιχαιας ὁ ὁ μωρασθι ἐν ἡμέρα ιωαθαμ καί αχαζ καί εζεκιας βασιλεύς ιουδα ὑπέρ ὅς ὁράω περί σαμαρεία καί περί ἰερουσαλήμ
اِسْمَعُوا أَيُّهَا الشُّعُوبُ جَمِيعُكُمْ. أَصْغِي أَيَّتُهَا الأَرْضُ وَمِلْؤُهَا. وَلْيَكُنِ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ شَاهِدًا عَلَيْكُمُ، السَّيِّدُ مِنْ هَيْكَلِ قُدْسِهِ.
שִׁמְעוּ֙ עַמִּ֣ים כֻּלָּ֔ם הַקְשִׁ֖יבִי אֶ֣רֶץ וּמְלֹאָ֑הּ וִיהִי֩ אֲדֹנָ֨י יְהוִ֤ה בָּכֶם֙ לְעֵ֔ד אֲדֹנָ֖י מֵהֵיכַ֥ל קָדְשֹֽׁו׃
Ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥϯϩⲑⲏϥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲧⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ
Judgment Pronounced against Samaria Hear, you peoples, all of you; hearken, O earth, and all that is in it; and let the Lord God be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
Hear these words, ye people; and let the earth give heed, and all that are in it: and the Lord God shall be among you for a testimony, the Lord out of his holy habitation.
ἀκούω λαός λόγος καί προςἔχω ὁ γῆ καί πᾶς ὁ ἐν αὐτός καί εἰμί κύριος ἐν σύ εἰς μαρτύριον κύριος ἐκ οἶκος ἅγιος αὐτός
فَإِنَّهُ هُوَذَا الرَّبُّ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ مَكَانِهِ وَيَنْزِلُ وَيَمْشِي عَلَى شَوَامِخِ الأَرْضِ،
כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה יֹצֵ֣א מִמְּקֹומֹ֑ו וְיָרַ֥ד וְדָרַ֖ךְ עַל־ [בָּמֹותֵי כ] (בָּ֥מֳתֵי ק) אָֽרֶץ׃
Ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡ⳪̅ ϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ
For behold, the Lord is coming forth out of his place, and will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth.
For, behold, the Lord comes forth out of his place, and will come down, and will go upon the high places of the earth.
διότι ἰδού κύριος ἐκπορεύομαι ἐκ ὁ τόπος αὐτός καί καταβαίνω καί ἐπιβαίνω ἐπί ὁ ὕψος ὁ γῆ
فَتَذُوبُ الْجِبَالُ تَحْتَهُ، وَتَنْشَقُّ الْوِدْيَانُ كَالشَّمْعِ قُدَّامَ النَّارِ. كَالْمَاءِ الْمُنْصَبِّ فِي مُنْحَدَرٍ.
וְנָמַ֤סּוּ הֶֽהָרִים֙ תַּחְתָּ֔יו וְהָעֲמָקִ֖ים יִתְבַּקָּ֑עוּ כַּדֹּונַג֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י הָאֵ֔שׁ כְּמַ֖יִם מֻגָּרִ֥ים בְּמֹורָֽד׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲕⲓⲙ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲥⲁⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓϧⲉⲗⲗⲟⲧ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲃⲱⲗ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲗϩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲡϩⲟ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲭⲣⲱⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛ̀ⲥⲕⲉⲣⲁⲕⲓⲣ
And the mountains will melt under him and the valleys will be cleft, like wax before the fire, like waters poured down a steep place.
And the mountains shall be shaken under him, and the valleys shall melt like wax before the fire, and as water rushing down a declivity.
καί σαλεύω ὁ ὄρος ὑποκάτωθεν αὐτός καί ὁ κοιλάς τήκω ὡς κηρός ἀπό πρόσωπον πῦρ καί ὡς ὕδωρ καταφέρω ἐν κατάβασις
كُلُّ هَذَا مِنْ أَجْلِ إِثْمِ يَعْقُوبَ، وَمِنْ أَجْلِ خَطِيَّةِ بَيْتِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. مَا هُوَ ذَنْبُ يَعْقُوبَ؟ أَلَيْسَ هُوَ السَّامِرَةَ؟ وَمَا هِيَ مُرْتَفَعَاتُ يَهُوذَا؟ أَلَيْسَتْ هِيَ أُورُشَلِيمَ؟
בְּפֶ֤שַׁע יַֽעֲקֹב֙ כָּל־זֹ֔את וּבְחַטֹּ֖אות בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִֽי־פֶ֣שַׁע יַעֲקֹ֗ב הֲלֹוא֙ שֹֽׁמְרֹ֔ון וּמִי֙ בָּמֹ֣ות יְהוּדָ֔ה הֲלֹ֖וא יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Ⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲁϣ ⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲙⲏ ⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϣ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ⲙⲏ ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ
All this is for the transgression of Jacob and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samar′ia? And what is the sin of the house of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?
All these calamities are for the transgression of Jacob, and for the sin of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what is the sin of the house of Juda? is it not Jerusalem?
διά ἀσέβεια ἰακώβ πᾶς οὗτος καί διά ἁμαρτία οἶκος ἰσραήλ τίς ὁ ἀσέβεια ὁ ἰακώβ οὐ σαμαρεία καί τίς ὁ ἁμαρτία οἶκος ιουδα οὐ ἰερουσαλήμ
«فَأَجْعَلُ السَّامِرَةَ خَرِبَةً فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ، مَغَارِسَ لِلْكُرُومِ، وَأُلْقِي حِجَارَتَهَا إِلَى الْوَادِي، وَأَكْشِفُ أُسُسَهَا.
וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י שֹׁמְרֹ֛ון לְעִ֥י הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה לְמַטָּ֣עֵי כָ֑רֶם וְהִגַּרְתִּ֤י לַגַּי֙ אֲבָנֶ֔יהָ וִיסֹדֶ֖יהָ אֲגַלֶּֽה׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲱ ⲛ̀ⲧⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛ̀ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲛ̀ϫⲓϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲕⲟⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛ̀ϭⲟ ⲛ̀ⲁⲗⲟⲗⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱϫⲡ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲥⲱⲛⲓ ⲉ̀ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲥⲥⲉⲛϯ ϯⲛⲁϭⲟⲣⲡⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ
Therefore I will make Samar′ia a heap in the open country, a place for planting vineyards; and I will pour down her stones into the valley, and uncover her foundations.
Therefore I will make Samaria as a store-house of the fruits of the field, and as a planting of a vineyard: and I will utterly demolish her stones, and I will expose her foundations.
καί τίθημι σαμαρεία εἰς ὀπωροφυλάκιον ἀγρός καί εἰς φυτεία ἀμπελών καί κατασπάω εἰς χάος ὁ λίθος αὐτός καί ὁ θεμέλιον αὐτός ἀποκαλύπτω
وَجَمِيعُ تَمَاثِيلِهَا الْمَنْحُوتَةِ تُحَطَّمُ، وَكُلُّ أَعْقَارِهَا تُحْرَقُ بِالنَّارِ، وَجَمِيعُ أَصْنَامِهَا أَجْعَلُهَا خَرَابًا، لأَنَّهَا مِنْ عُقْرِ الزَّانِيَةِ جَمَعَتْهَا وَإِلَى عُقْرِ الزَّانِيَةِ تَعُودُ».
וְכָל־פְּסִילֶ֣יהָ יֻכַּ֗תּוּ וְכָל־אֶתְנַנֶּ֙יהָ֙ יִשָּׂרְפ֣וּ בָאֵ֔שׁ וְכָל־עֲצַבֶּ֖יהָ אָשִׂ֣ים שְׁמָמָ֑ה כִּ֠י מֵאֶתְנַ֤ן זֹונָה֙ קִבָּ֔צָה וְעַד־אֶתְנַ֥ן זֹונָ֖ה יָשֽׁוּבוּ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲥⲫⲱⲧϩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϯⲛⲁϧⲉⲙϧⲱⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲥⲃⲉⲭⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕϩⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲭⲣⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲥⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟⲩⲱⲧⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲃⲉⲭⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲡⲟⲣⲛⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲥⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲃⲉⲭⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲟⲣⲛⲓⲁ
All her images shall be beaten to pieces, all her hires shall be burned with fire, and all her idols I will lay waste; for from the hire of a harlot she gathered them, and to the hire of a harlot they shall return.
And they shall cut in pieces all the graven images, and all that she has hired they shall burn with fire, and I will utterly destroy all her idols: because she has gathered of the hires of fornication, and of the hires of fornication has she amassed wealth.
καί πᾶς ὁ γλυπτός αὐτός κατακόπτω καί πᾶς ὁ μίσθωμα αὐτός ἐνπίπρημι ἐν πῦρ καί πᾶς ὁ εἴδωλον αὐτός τίθημι εἰς ἀφανισμός διότι ἐκ μίσθωμα πορνεία συνἄγω καί ἐκ μίσθωμα πορνεία συνστρέφω
مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ أَنُوحُ وَأُوَلْوِلُ. أَمْشِي حَافِيًا وَعُرْيَانًا. أَصْنَعُ نَحِيبًا كَبَنَاتِ آوَى، وَنَوْحًا كَرِعَالِ النَّعَامِ.
עַל־זֹאת֙ אֶסְפְּדָ֣ה וְאֵילִ֔ילָה אֵילְכָ֥ה [שִׁילַל כ] (שֹׁולָ֖ל ק) וְעָרֹ֑ום אֶעֱשֶׂ֤ה מִסְפֵּד֙ כַּתַּנִּ֔ים וְאֵ֖בֶל כִּבְנֹ֥ות יַעֲנָֽה׃
Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩⲡⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲉⲣϩⲏⲃⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁⲧⲑⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲃⲏϣ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲓⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲛⲉϩⲡⲓ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲙ̀ⲫⲁ ⲛⲓⲇⲣⲁⲕⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϩⲏⲃⲓ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲙ̀ⲫⲁ ⲛⲓϣⲉⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲥⲉⲣⲏⲛⲟⲥ
The Doom of the Cities of Judah For this I will lament and wail; I will go stripped and naked; I will make lamentation like the jackals, and mourning like the ostriches.
Therefore shall she lament and wail, she shall go barefooted, and being naked she shall make lamentation as that of serpents, and mourning as of the daughters of sirens.
ἕνεκεν οὗτος κόπτω καί θρηνέω πορεύομαι ἀνυπόδετος καί γυμνός ποιέω κοπετός ὡς δράκων καί πένθος ὡς θυγάτηρ σειρήν
لأَنَّ جِرَاحَاتِهَا عَدِيمَةُ الشِّفَاءِ، لأَنَّهَا قَدْ أَتَتْ إِلَى يَهُوذَا، وَصَلَتْ إِلَى بَابِ شَعْبِي إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ.
כִּ֥י אֲנוּשָׁ֖ה מַכֹּותֶ֑יהָ כִּי־בָ֙אָה֙ עַד־יְהוּדָ֔ה נָגַ֛ע עַד־שַׁ֥עַר עַמִּ֖י עַד־יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲁⲙⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲥⲉⲣϧⲟⲧ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲓ̀ ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉ̀ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϭⲓ ϣⲁ ⲧⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅
For her wound is incurable; and it has come to Judah, it has reached to the gate of my people, to Jerusalem.
For her plague has become grievous; for it has come even to Juda; and has reached to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
ὅτι κατακρατέω ὁ πληγή αὐτός διότι ἔρχομαι ἕως ιουδα καί ἅπτομαι ἕως πύλη λαός ἐγώ ἕως ἰερουσαλήμ
لَا تُخْبِرُوا فِي جَتَّ، لَا تَبْكُوا فِي عَكَّاءَ. تَمَرَّغِي فِي التُّرَابِ فِي بَيْتِ عَفْرَةَ.
בְּגַת֙ אַל־תַּגִּ֔ידוּ בָּכֹ֖ו אַל־תִּבְכּ֑וּ בְּבֵ֣ית לְעַפְרָ֔ה עָפָ֖ר [הִתְפַּלָּשְׁתִּי כ] (הִתְפַּלָּֽשִׁי׃ ק)
Ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲅⲉⲑ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲕⲓⲙ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲕⲱⲧ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲥⲱⲃⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲃⲓ ϣⲉϣ ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓϫⲱϥ
Tell it not in Gath, weep not at all; in Beth-le-aph′rah roll yourselves in the dust.
Ye that are in Geth, exalt not yourselves, and ye Enakim, do not rebuild from the ruins of the house in derision: sprinkle dust in the place of your laughter.
ὁ ἐν γεθ μή μεγαλύνω ὁ ἐν ακιμ μή ἀναοἰκοδομέω ἐκ οἶκος κατά γέλως γῆ καταπάσσω κατά γέλως σύ
اُعْبُرِي يَا سَاكِنَةَ شَافِيرَ عُرْيَانَةً وَخَجِلَةً. السَّاكِنَةُ فِي صَانَانَ لَا تَخْرُجُ. نَوْحُ بَيْتِ هَأَيْصِلَ يَأْخُذُ عِنْدَكُمْ مَقَامَهُ،
עִבְרִ֥י לָכֶ֛ם יֹושֶׁ֥בֶת שָׁפִ֖יר עֶרְיָה־בֹ֑שֶׁת לֹ֤א יָֽצְאָה֙ יֹושֶׁ֣בֶת צַֽאֲנָ֔ן מִסְפַּד֙ בֵּ֣ית הָאֵ֔צֶל יִקַּ֥ח מִכֶּ֖ם עֶמְדָּתֹֽו׃
Ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ⲛ̀ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲁⲣ ⲉ̀ⲉⲣϩⲏⲃⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ϥϧⲉⲛⲧ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲥ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϭⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲉⲣϧⲟⲧ ⲛ̀ⲉⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ

καταοἰκέω καλῶς ὁ πόλις αὐτός οὐ ἐκἔρχομαι καταοἰκέω σεννααν κόπτω οἶκος ἔχω αὐτός λαμβάνω ἐκ σύ πληγή ὀδύνη
لأَنَّ السَّاكِنَةَ فِي مَارُوثَ اغْتَمَّتْ لأَجْلِ خَيْرَاتِهَا، لأَنَّ شَرًّا قَدْ نَزَلَ مِنْ عِنْدِ الرَّبِّ إِلَى بَابِ أُورُشَلِيمَ.
כִּֽי־חָ֥לָֽה לְטֹ֖וב יֹושֶׁ֣בֶת מָרֹ֑ות כִּֽי־יָ֤רַד רָע֙ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה לְשַׁ֖עַר יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅
For the inhabitants of Maroth wait anxiously for good, because evil has come down from the Lord to the gate of Jerusalem.
Who has begun to act for good to her that dwells in sorrow? for calamities have come down from the Lord upon the gates of Jerusalem,
τίς ἄρχω εἰς ἀγαθός καταοἰκέω ὀδύνη ὅτι καταβαίνω κακός παρά κύριος ἐπί πύλη ἰερουσαλήμ
شُدِّي الْمَرْكَبَةَ بِالْجَوَادِ يَا سَاكِنَةَ لاَخِيشَ، هِيَ أَوَّلُ خَطِيَّةٍ لابْنَةِ صِهْيَوْنَ، لأَنَّهُ فِيكِ وُجِدَتْ ذُنُوبُ إِسْرَائِيلَ.
רְתֹ֧ם הַמֶּרְכָּבָ֛ה לָרֶ֖כֶשׁ יֹושֶׁ֣בֶת לָכִ֑ישׁ רֵאשִׁ֨ית חַטָּ֥את הִיא֙ לְבַת־צִיֹּ֔ון כִּי־בָ֥ךְ נִמְצְא֖וּ פִּשְׁעֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Harness the steeds to the chariots, inhabitants of Lachish; you were the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion, for in you were found the transgressions of Israel.

ψόφος ἅρμα καί ἱππεύω καταοἰκέω λαχις ἀρχηγός ἁμαρτία αὐτός εἰμί ὁ θυγάτηρ σιων ὅτι ἐν σύ εὑρίσκω ἀσέβεια ὁ ἰσραήλ

לָכֵן֙ תִּתְּנִ֣י שִׁלּוּחִ֔ים עַ֖ל מֹורֶ֣שֶׁת גַּ֑ת בָּתֵּ֤י אַכְזִיב֙ לְאַכְזָ֔ב לְמַלְכֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲕⲉ̀ϯ ⲛ̀ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡⲟⲩ ϧⲁ ϯⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲅⲉⲑ ϩⲁⲛⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲉⲫⲗⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϣⲟⲩⲓⲧ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅
Therefore you shall give parting gifts to Mo′resheth-gath; the houses of Achzib shall be a deceitful thing to the kings of Israel.

עֹ֗ד הַיֹּרֵשׁ֙ אָ֣בִי לָ֔ךְ יֹושֶׁ֖בֶת מָֽרֵשָׁ֑ה עַד־עֲדֻלָּ֥ם יָבֹ֖וא כְּבֹ֥וד יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

I will again bring a conqueror upon you, inhabitants of Mare′shah; the glory of Israel shall come to Adul′lam.

קָרְחִ֣י וָגֹ֔זִּי עַל־בְּנֵ֖י תַּעֲנוּגָ֑יִךְ הַרְחִ֤בִי קָרְחָתֵךְ֙ כַּנֶּ֔שֶׁר כִּ֥י גָל֖וּ מִמֵּֽךְ׃ ס
Ϧⲉⲕϫⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲉⲡϫⲱ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲉⲧϫⲏⲛ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲙⲉⲧⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲁϧⲱⲙ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲉⲭⲙⲁⲗⲱⲧⲉⲩⲓⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟ
Make yourselves bald and cut off your hair, for the children of your delight; make yourselves as bald as the eagle, for they shall go from you into exile.
Shave thine hair, and make thyself bald for thy delicate children; increase thy widowhood as an eagle; for thy people are gone into captivity from thee.

وَيْلٌ لِلْمُفْتَكِرِينَ بِالْبُطْلِ، وَالصَّانِعِينَ الشَّرَّ عَلَى مَضَاجِعِهِمْ! فِي نُورِ الصَّبَاحِ يَفْعَلُونَهُ لأَنَّهُ فِي قُدْرَةِ يَدِهِمْ.
הֹ֧וי חֹֽשְׁבֵי־אָ֛וֶן וּפֹ֥עֲלֵי רָ֖ע עַל־מִשְׁכְּבֹותָ֑ם בְּאֹ֤ור הַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ יַעֲשׂ֔וּהָ כִּ֥י יֶשׁ־לְאֵ֖ל יָדָֽם׃

Social Evils Denounced Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil upon their beds! When the morning dawns, they perform it, because it is in the power of their hand.
They meditated troubles, and wrought wickedness on their beds, and they put it in execution with the daylight; for they have not lifted up their hands to God.
γίγνομαι λογίζομαι κόπος καί ἐργάζομαι κακός ἐν ὁ κοίτη αὐτός καί ἅμα ὁ ἡμέρα συντελέω αὐτός διότι οὐ αἴρω πρός ὁ θεός ὁ χείρ αὐτός
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَشْتَهُونَ الْحُقُولَ وَيَغْتَصِبُونَهَا، وَالْبُيُوتَ وَيَأْخُذُونَهَا، وَيَظْلِمُونَ الرَّجُلَ وَبَيْتَهُ وَالإِنْسَانَ وَمِيرَاثَهُ.
וְחָמְד֤וּ שָׂדֹות֙ וְגָזָ֔לוּ וּבָתִּ֖ים וְנָשָׂ֑אוּ וְעָֽשְׁקוּ֙ גֶּ֣בֶר וּבֵיתֹ֔ו וְאִ֖ישׁ וְנַחֲלָתֹֽו׃ פ
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲣⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲛ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϩⲱⲗⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲟⲣⲫⲁⲛⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϭⲉⲡϫⲱⲣⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϩⲱⲗⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉϥⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ
They covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away; they oppress a man and his house, a man and his inheritance.
And they desired fields, and plundered orphans, and oppressed families, and spoiled a man and his house, even a man and his inheritance.
καί ἐπιθυμόω ἀγρός καί διαἁρπάζω ὀρφανός καί οἶκος καταδυναστεύω καί διαἁρπάζω ἀνήρ καί ὁ οἶκος αὐτός ἀνήρ καί ὁ κληρονομία αὐτός
لِذَلِكَ هَكَذَا قَالَ الرَّبُّ: «هَأَنَذَا أَفْتَكِرُ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْعَشِيرَةِ بِشَرٍّ لَا تُزِيلُونَ مِنْهُ أَعْنَاقَكُمْ، وَلَا تَسْلُكُونَ بِالتَّشَامُخِ لأَنَّهُ زَمَانٌ رَدِيءٌ.
לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֥י חֹשֵׁ֛ב עַל־הַמִּשְׁפָּחָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את רָעָ֑ה אֲ֠שֶׁר לֹֽא־תָמִ֨ישׁוּ מִשָּׁ֜ם צַוְּארֹֽתֵיכֶ֗ם וְלֹ֤א תֵֽלְכוּ֙ רֹומָ֔ה כִּ֛י עֵ֥ת רָעָ֖ה הִֽיא׃
Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ϫⲉ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲛⲁⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲓⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϣⲱⲗⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲟϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲟϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟϯ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϥϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ
Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, against this family I am devising evil, from which you cannot remove your necks; and you shall not walk haughtily, for it will be an evil time.
Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I devise evils against this family, out of which ye shall not lift up your necks, neither shall ye walk upright speedily: for the time is evil.
διά οὗτος ὅδε λέγω κύριος ἰδού ἐγώ λογίζομαι ἐπί ὁ φυλή οὗτος κακός ἐκ ὅς οὐ μή αἴρω ὁ τράχηλος σύ καί οὐ μή πορεύομαι ὀρθός ἐξαίφνης ὅτι καιρός πονηρός εἰμί
«فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ يُنْطَقُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَجْوٍ وَيُرْثَى بِمَرْثَاةٍ، وَيُقَالُ: خَرِبْنَا خَرَابًا. بَدَلَ نَصِيبِ شَعْبِي. كَيْفَ يَنْزِعُهُ عَنِّي؟ يَقْسِمُ لِلْمُرْتَدِّ حُقُولَنَا».
בַּיֹּ֨ום הַה֜וּא יִשָּׂ֧א עֲלֵיכֶ֣ם מָשָׁ֗ל וְנָהָ֨ה נְהִ֤י נִֽהְיָה֙ אָמַר֙ שָׁדֹ֣וד נְשַׁדֻּ֔נוּ חֵ֥לֶק עַמִּ֖י יָמִ֑יר אֵ֚יךְ יָמִ֣ישׁ לִ֔י לְשֹׁובֵ֥ב שָׂדֵ֖ינוּ יְחַלֵּֽק׃
Ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϭⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲉⲣϩⲏⲃⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲏⲃⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲱⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲗⲉⲡⲱⲣⲓⲁ ⲁⲥⲉⲣⲧⲁⲗⲉⲡⲱⲣⲓⲛ ⲧⲧⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲣⲁϣⲥ ⲙ̀ⲫⲛⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲱϣⲧ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲉϥⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲁⲩⲣⲁϣⲟⲩ
In that day they shall take up a taunt song against you, and wail with bitter lamentation, and say, “We are utterly ruined; he changes the portion of my people; how he removes it from me! Among our captors he divides our fields.”
In that day shall a parable be taken up against you, and a plaintive lamentation shall be uttered, saying, We are thoroughly miserable: the portion of my people has been measured out with a line, and there was none to hinder him so as to turn him back; your fields have been divided.
ἐν ὁ ἡμέρα ἐκεῖνος λαμβάνω ἐπί σύ παραβολή καί θρηνέω θρῆνος ἐν μέλος λέγω ταλαιπωρία ταλαιπωρέω μερίς λαός ἐγώ καταμετρέω ἐν σχοινίον καί οὐ εἰμί ὁ κωλύω αὐτός ὁ ἀποστρέφω ὁ ἀγρός ἐγώ διαμερίζω
لِذَلِكَ لَا يَكُونُ لَكَ مَنْ يُلْقِي حَبْلًا فِي نَصِيبٍ بَيْنَ جَمَاعَةِ الرَّبِّ.
לָכֵן֙ לֹֽא־יִֽהְיֶ֣ה לְךָ֔ מַשְׁלִ֥יךְ חֶ֖בֶל בְּגֹורָ֑ל בִּקְהַ֖ל יְהוָֽה׃
Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲛⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲥ
Therefore you will have none to cast the line by lot in the assembly of the Lord.
Therefore thou shalt have no one to cast a line for the lot.
διά οὗτος οὐ εἰμί σύ βάλλω σχοινίον ἐν κλῆρος ἐν ἐκκλησία κύριος
يَتَنَبَّأُونَ قَائِلِينَ: «لاَ تَتَنَبَّأُوا». لَا يَتَنَبَّأُونَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ. لَا يَزُولُ الْعَارُ.
אַל־תַּטִּ֖פוּ יַטִּיפ֑וּן לֹֽא־יַטִּ֣פוּ לָאֵ֔לֶּה לֹ֥א יִסַּ֖ג כְּלִמֹּֽות׃
Ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲣⲓⲙⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲉⲣⲙⲱⲟⲩⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲛⲑⲣⲟⲩⲟⲩ ⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲣⲙⲏ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥⲭⲱ ⲙ̀ⲡϣⲱϣ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ
“Do not preach”—thus they preach— “one should not preach of such things; disgrace will not overtake us.”
Weep not with tears in the assembly of the Lord, neither let any weep for these things; for he shall not remove the reproaches,
μή κλαίω δάκρυ μηδέ δακρύω ἐπί οὗτος οὐ γάρ ἀποὠθέω ὄνειδος
أَيُّهَا الْمُسَمَّى بَيْتَ يَعْقُوبَ، هَلْ قَصُرَتْ رُوحُ الرَّبِّ؟ أَهَذِهِ أَفْعَالُهُ؟ «أَلَيْسَتْ أَقْوَالِي صَالِحَةً نَحْوَ مَنْ يَسْلُكُ بِالاسْتِقَامَةِ؟
הֶאָמ֣וּר בֵּֽית־יַעֲקֹ֗ב הֲקָצַר֙ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָ֔ה אִם־אֵ֖לֶּה מַעֲלָלָ֑יו הֲלֹ֤וא דְבָרַ֨י יֵיטִ֔יבוּ עִ֖ם הַיָּשָׁ֥ר הֹולֵֽךְ׃
Ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲁϥϯϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉϥϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛ
Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him who walks uprightly?
who says, The house of Jacob has provoked the Spirit of the Lord; are not these his practices? Are not the Lord’s words right with him? and have they not proceeded correctly?
ὁ λέγω οἶκος ἰακώβ παραὀργίζω πνεῦμα κύριος εἰ οὗτος ὁ ἐπιτήδευμα αὐτός εἰμί οὐ ὁ λόγος αὐτός εἰμί καλός μετά αὐτός καί ὀρθός πορεύομαι
وَلكِنْ بِالأَمْسِ قَامَ شَعْبِي كَعَدُوٍّ. تَنْزِعُونَ الرِّدَاءَ عَنِ الثَّوْبِ مِنَ الْمُجْتَازِينَ بِالطُّمَأْنِينَةِ، وَمِنَ الرَّاجِعِينَ مِنَ الْقِتَالِ.
וְאֶתְמ֗וּל עַמִּי֙ לְאֹויֵ֣ב יְקֹומֵ֔ם מִמּ֣וּל שַׂלְמָ֔ה אֶ֖דֶר תַּפְשִׁט֑וּן מֵעֹבְרִ֣ים בֶּ֔טַח שׁוּבֵ֖י מִלְחָמָֽה׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ ϩⲓⲧϩⲏ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲧϫⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲧⲉϥϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲛⲉϥϣⲁⲣ ⲁⲩⲣⲁϧⲧϥ ⲉ̀ⲡϫⲓⲛⲱⲗⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲟⲩϧⲟⲙϧⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲡⲟⲗⲉⲙⲟⲥ
But you rise against my people as an enemy; you strip the robe from the peaceful, from those who pass by trustingly with no thought of war.
Even beforetime my people withstood him as an enemy against his peace; they have stripped off his skin to remove hope in the conflict of war.
καί ἔμπροσθεν ὁ λαός ἐγώ εἰς ἔχθρα ἀντιἵστημι κατέναντι ὁ εἰρήνη αὐτός ὁ δορά αὐτός ἐκδέρω ὁ ἀποαἱρέω ἐλπίς συντριμμός πόλεμος
تَطْرُدُونَ نِسَاءَ شَعْبِي مِنْ بَيْتِ تَنَعُّمِهِنَّ. تَأْخُذُونَ عَنْ أَطْفَالِهِنَّ زِينَتِي إِلَى الأَبَدِ.
נְשֵׁ֤י עַמִּי֙ תְּגָ֣רְשׁ֔וּן מִבֵּ֖ית תַּֽעֲנֻגֶ֑יהָ מֵעַל֙ עֹֽלָלֶ֔יהָ תִּקְח֥וּ הֲדָרִ֖י לְעֹולָֽם׃
Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲓϩⲩⲅⲟⲩⲙⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϩⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲛⲟϥ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ
The women of my people you drive out from their pleasant houses; from their young children you take away my glory for ever.
The leaders of my people shall be cast forth from their luxurious houses; they are rejected because of their evil practices; draw ye near to the everlasting mountains.
διά οὗτος ἡγέομαι λαός ἐγώ ἀποῥίπτω ἐκ ὁ οἰκία τρυφή αὐτός διά ὁ πονηρός ἐπιτήδευμα αὐτός ἐκὠθέω ἐγγίζω ὄρος αἰώνιος
«قُومُوا وَاذْهَبُوا، لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَتْ هَذِهِ هِيَ الرَّاحَةَ. مِنْ أَجْلِ نَجَاسَةٍ تُهْلِكُ وَالْهَلاَكُ شَدِيدٌ.
ק֣וּמוּ וּלְכ֔וּ כִּ֥י לֹא־זֹ֖את הַמְּנוּחָ֑ה בַּעֲב֥וּר טָמְאָ֛ה תְּחַבֵּ֖ל וְחֶ֥בֶל נִמְרָֽץ׃
Ϧⲱⲛⲧ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲧⲱⲛⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩϭⲱϧⲉⲙ
Arise and go, for this is no place to rest; because of uncleanness that destroys with a grievous destruction.
Arise thou, and depart; for this is not thy rest because of uncleanness: ye have been utterly destroyed;
ἀναἵστημι καί πορεύομαι ὅτι οὐ εἰμί σύ οὗτος ὁ ἀνάπαυσις ἕνεκεν ἀκαθαρσία διαφθείρω φθορά
لَوْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ وَهُوَ سَالِكٌ بِالرِّيحِ وَالْكَذِبِ يَكْذِبُ قَائِلًا: أَتَنَبَّأُ لَكَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمُسْكِرِ لَكَانَ هُوَ نَبِيَّ هَذَا الشَّعْبِ!
לוּ־אִ֞ישׁ הֹלֵ֥ךְ ר֙וּחַ֙ וָשֶׁ֣קֶר כִּזֵּ֔ב אַטִּ֣ף לְךָ֔ לַיַּ֖יִן וְלַשֵּׁכָ֑ר וְהָיָ֥ה מַטִּ֖יף הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּֽה׃
Ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲫⲱⲧ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϭⲟϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲟϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲙ̀ⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲁϥⲑⲗⲏ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲏⲣⲡ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲑⲓϧⲓ
If a man should go about and utter wind and lies, saying, “I will preach to you of wine and strong drink,” he would be the preacher for this people!
ye have fled, no one pursuing you: thy spirit has framed falsehood, it has dropped on thee for wine and strong drink. But it shall come to pass, that out of the dropping of this people,
καταδιώκω οὐδείς διώκω πνεῦμα ἵστημι ψεῦδος σταλάζω σύ εἰς οἶνος καί μέθυσμα καί εἰμί ἐκ ὁ σταγών ὁ λαός οὗτος
«إِنِّي أَجْمَعُ جَمِيعَكَ يَا يَعْقُوبُ. أَضُمُّ بَقِيَّةَ إِسْرَائِيلَ. أَضَعُهُمْ مَعًا كَغَنَمِ الْحَظِيرَةِ، كَقَطِيعٍ فِي وَسَطِ مَرْعَاهُ يَضِجُّ مِنَ النَّاسِ.
אָסֹ֨ף אֶאֱסֹ֜ף יַעֲקֹ֣ב כֻּלָּ֗ךְ קַבֵּ֤ץ אֲקַבֵּץ֙ שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל יַ֥חַד אֲשִׂימֶ֖נּוּ כְּצֹ֣אן בָּצְרָ֑ה כְּעֵ֙דֶר֙ בְּתֹ֣וךְ הַדָּֽבְרֹ֔ו תְּהִימֶ֖נָה מֵאָדָֽם׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲧⲉⲗⲧⲓⲗⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲱⲡ ϯⲛⲁϣⲉⲡ ⲛⲓⲥⲉⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲁϥ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲡ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟϫϩⲉϫ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲓⲟϩⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩϣⲁⲓⲣⲓ ⲉⲩϣⲓϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ
A Promise for the Remnant of Israel I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob, I will gather the remnant of Israel; I will set them together like sheep in a fold, like a flock in its pasture, a noisy multitude of men.
Jacob shall be completely gathered with all his people: I will surely receive the remnant of Israel; I will cause them to return together, as sheep in trouble, as a flock in the midst of their fold: they shall rush forth from among men through the breach made before them:
συνἄγω συνἄγω ἰακώβ σύν πᾶς ἐκδέχομαι ἐκδέχομαι ὁ κατάλοιπος ὁ ἰσραήλ ἐπί ὁ αὐτός τίθημι ὁ ἀποστροφή αὐτός ὡς πρόβατον ἐν θλῖψις ὡς ποίμνιον ἐν μέσος κοίτη αὐτός ἐκἅλλομαι ἐκ ἄνθρωπος
قَدْ صَعِدَ الْفَاتِكُ أَمَامَهُمْ. يَقْتَحِمُونَ وَيَعْبُرُونَ مِنَ الْبَابِ، وَيَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهُ، وَيَجْتَازُ مَلِكُهُمْ أَمَامَهُمْ، وَالرَّبُّ فِي رَأْسِهِمْ».
עָלָ֤ה הַפֹּרֵץ֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם פָּֽרְצוּ֙ וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֔רוּ שַׁ֖עַר וַיֵּ֣צְאוּ בֹ֑ו וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ר מַלְכָּם֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם וַיהוָ֖ה בְּרֹאשָֽׁם׃ פ
Ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϫⲱϫⲓ ⲁⲩϫⲱϫⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩϩⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲥⲓϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧⲥ ⲁⲩⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩϩⲟ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϭⲓⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ
He who opens the breach will go up before them; they will break through and pass the gate, going out by it. Their king will pass on before them, the Lord at their head.
they have broken through, and passed the gate, and gone out by it: and their king has gone out before them, and the Lord shall lead them.
διά ὁ διακοπή πρό πρόσωπον αὐτός διακόπτω καί διαἔρχομαι πύλη καί ἐκἔρχομαι διά αὐτός καί ἐκἔρχομαι ὁ βασιλεύς αὐτός πρό πρόσωπον αὐτός ὁ δέ κύριος ἡγέομαι αὐτός
إصحاح 3
وَقُلْتُ: «اسْمَعُوا يَا رُؤَسَاءَ يَعْقُوبَ، وَقُضَاةَ بَيْتِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. أَلَيْسَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَعْرِفُوا الْحَقَّ؟
וָאֹמַ֗ר שִׁמְעוּ־נָא֙ רָאשֵׁ֣י יַעֲקֹ֔ב וּקְצִינֵ֖י בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הֲלֹ֣וא לָכֶ֔ם לָדַ֖עַת אֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲥⲱϫⲡ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲙⲏ ⲫⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲉⲙⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓϩⲁⲡ
Wicked Rulers and Prophets And I said: Hear, you heads of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel! Is it not for you to know justice?—
And he shall say, Hear now these words, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and ye remnant of the house of Israel; is it not for you to know judgment?
καί εἶπον ἀκούω δή οὗτος ὁ ἀρχή οἶκος ἰακώβ καί ὁ κατάλοιπος οἶκος ἰσραήλ οὐ σύ εἰμί ὁ γιγνώσκω ὁ κρίμα
الْمُبْغِضِينَ الْخَيْرَ وَالْمُحِبِّينَ الشَّرَّ، النَّازِعِينَ جُلُودَهُمْ عَنْهُمْ، وَلَحْمَهُمْ عَنْ عِظَامِهِمْ.
שֹׂ֥נְאֵי טֹ֖וב וְאֹ֣הֲבֵי [רָעָה כ] (רָ֑ע ק) גֹּזְלֵ֤י עֹורָם֙ מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם וּשְׁאֵרָ֖ם מֵעַ֥ל עַצְמֹותָֽם׃
Ⲛⲏ ⲉⲑⲙⲟⲥϯ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲕⲱϯ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ ⲛⲓⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϩⲱⲗⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϣⲁⲣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲁⲥ
you who hate the good and love the evil, who tear the skin from off my people, and their flesh from off their bones;
who hate good, and seek evil; who tear their skins off them, and their flesh off their bones:
ὁ μισέω ὁ καλός καί ζητέω ὁ πονηρός ἁρπάζω ὁ δέρμα αὐτός ἀπό αὐτός καί ὁ σάρξ αὐτός ἀπό ὁ ὀστέον αὐτός
وَالَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ لَحْمَ شَعْبِي، وَيَكْشُطُونَ جِلْدَهُمْ عَنْهُمْ، وَيُهَشِّمُونَ عِظَامَهُمْ، وَيُشَقِّقُونَ كَمَا فِي الْقِدْرِ، وَكَاللَّحْمِ فِي وَسَطِ الْمِقْلَى».
וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר אָכְלוּ֮ שְׁאֵ֣ר עַמִּי֒ וְעֹורָם֙ מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֣ם הִפְשִׁ֔יטוּ וְאֶת־עַצְמֹֽתֵיהֶ֖ם פִּצֵּ֑חוּ וּפָרְשׂוּ֙ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּסִּ֔יר וּכְבָשָׂ֖ר בְּתֹ֥וךְ קַלָּֽחַת׃
Ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲛⲛⲓⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲁⲣ ⲁⲩϧⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲁⲥ ⲁⲩϧⲉⲙϧⲱⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲫⲁϣⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲗⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲁϥ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩϣⲓⲱ
who eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones in pieces, and chop them up like meat in a kettle, like flesh in a caldron.
even as they devoured the flesh of my people, and stripped their skins off them, and broke their bones, and divided them as flesh for the caldron, and as meat for the pot,
ὅς τρόπος καταἐσθίω ὁ σάρξ ὁ λαός ἐγώ καί ὁ δέρμα αὐτός ἀπό ὁ ὀστέον αὐτός ἐκδέρω καί ὁ ὀστέον αὐτός συνθλάω καί μελίζω ὡς σάρξ εἰς λέβης καί ὡς κρέας εἰς χύτρα
حِينَئِذٍ يَصْرُخُونَ إِلَى الرَّبِّ فَلَا يُجِيبُهُمْ، بَلْ يَسْتُرُ وَجْهَهُ عَنْهُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ الْوَقْتِ كَمَا أَسَاءُوا أَعْمَالَهُمْ.
אָ֚ז יִזְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א יַעֲנֶ֖ה אֹותָ֑ם וְיַסְתֵּ֨ר פָּנָ֤יו מֵהֶם֙ בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הֵרֵ֖עוּ מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ פ
Ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲱϣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲫⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲉⲣ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲟⲩ
Then they will cry to the Lord, but he will not answer them; he will hide his face from them at that time, because they have made their deeds evil.
thus they shall cry to the Lord, but he shall not hearken to them; and he shall turn away his face from them at that time, because they have done wickedly in their practices against themselves.
οὕτως κράζω πρός κύριος καί οὐ εἰςἀκούω αὐτός καί ἀποστρέφω ὁ πρόσωπον αὐτός ἀπό αὐτός ἐν ὁ καιρός ἐκεῖνος ἀντί ὅς πονηρεύομαι ἐν ὁ ἐπιτήδευμα αὐτός ἐπί αὐτός
هَكَذَا قَالَ الرَّبُّ عَلَى الأَنْبِيَاءِ الَّذِينَ يُضِلُّونَ شَعْبِي، الَّذِينَ يَنْهَشُونَ بِأَسْنَانِهِمْ، وَيُنَادُونَ: «سَلاَمٌ»! وَالَّذِي لَا يَجْعَلُ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِمْ شَيْئًا، يَفْتَحُونَ عَلَيْهِ حَرْبًا:
כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה עַל־הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים הַמַּתְעִ֣ים אֶת־עַמִּ֑י הַנֹּשְׁכִ֤ים בְּשִׁנֵּיהֶם֙ וְקָרְא֣וּ שָׁלֹ֔ום וַאֲשֶׁר֙ לֹא־יִתֵּ֣ן עַל־פִּיהֶ֔ם וְקִדְּשׁ֥וּ עָלָ֖יו מִלְחָמָֽה׃
Ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲥⲱⲣⲉⲙ ⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϭⲓⲗⲁⲡⲥⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁϫϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱϥ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲧⲏⲓⲥ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲡⲟⲗⲉⲙⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱϥ
Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who lead my people astray, who cry “Peace” when they have something to eat, but declare war against him who puts nothing into their mouths.
Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that lead my people astray, that bit with their teeth, and proclaim peace to them; and when nothing was put into their mouth, they raised up war against them:
ὅδε λέγω κύριος ἐπί ὁ προφήτης ὁ πλανάω ὁ λαός ἐγώ ὁ δάκνω ἐν ὁ ὀδούς αὐτός καί κηρύσσω ἐπί αὐτός εἰρήνη καί οὐ δίδωμι εἰς ὁ στόμα αὐτός ἀγείρω ἐπί αὐτός πόλεμος
«لِذَلِكَ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةٌ بِلاَ رُؤْيَا. ظَلاَمٌ لَكُمْ بِدُونِ عِرَافَةٍ. وَتَغِيبُ الشَّمْسُ عَنِ الأَنْبِيَاءِ، وَيُظْلِمُ عَلَيْهِمِ النَّهَارُ.
לָכֵ֞ן לַ֤יְלָה לָכֶם֙ מֵֽחָזֹ֔ון וְחָשְׁכָ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם מִקְּסֹ֑ם וּבָ֤אָה הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ עַל־הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים וְקָדַ֥ר עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם הַיֹּֽום׃
Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉϫⲱⲣϩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲣⲁⲥⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧϣⲉⲛϩⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲫⲣⲏ ϩⲱⲧⲡ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲉⲣⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ
Therefore it shall be night to you, without vision, and darkness to you, without divination. The sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them;
therefore there shall be night to you instead of a vision, and there shall be to you darkness instead of prophecy; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be dark upon them.
διά οὗτος νύξ σύ εἰμί ἐκ ὅρασις καί σκοτία σύ εἰμί ἐκ μαντεία καί δύω ὁ ἥλιος ἐπί ὁ προφήτης καί συνσκοτάζω ἐπί αὐτός ὁ ἡμέρα
فَيَخْزَى الرَّاؤُونَ، وَيَخْجَلُ الْعَرَّافُونَ، وَيُغَطُّونَ كُلُّهُمْ شَوَارِبَهُمْ، لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ جَوَابٌ مِنَ اللهِ».
וּבֹ֣שׁוּ הַחֹזִ֗ים וְחָֽפְרוּ֙ הַקֹּ֣סְמִ֔ים וְעָט֥וּ עַל־שָׂפָ֖ם כֻּלָּ֑ם כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין מַעֲנֵ֖ה אֱלֹהִֽים׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϭⲓϣⲓⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲛⲓⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲥⲱⲃⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲣⲉϥϣⲉⲛϩⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ
the seers shall be disgraced, and the diviners put to shame; they shall all cover their lips, for there is no answer from God.
And the seers of night-visions shall be ashamed, and the prophets shall be laughed to scorn: and all the people shall speak against them, because there shall be none to hearken to them.
καί κατααἰσχύνω ὁ ὁράω ὁ ἐνύπνιον καί καταγελάω ὁ μάντις καί καταλαλέω κατά αὐτός πᾶς αὐτός διότι οὐ εἰμί ὁ εἰςἀκούω αὐτός
لكِنَّنِي أَنَا مَلآنٌ قُوَّةَ رُوحِ الرَّبِّ وَحَقًّا وَبَأْسًا، لأُخَبِّرَ يَعْقُوبَ بِذَنْبِهِ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ بِخَطِيَّتِهِ.
וְאוּלָ֗ם אָנֹכִ֞י מָלֵ֤אתִי כֹ֙חַ֙ אֶת־ר֣וּחַ יְהוָ֔ה וּמִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּגְבוּרָ֑ה לְהַגִּ֤יד לְיַֽעֲקֹב֙ פִּשְׁעֹ֔ו וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל חַטָּאתֹֽו׃ ס
Ⲁⲓϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲟⲙ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϩⲁⲡ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧϫⲱⲣⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡϫⲓⲛⲧⲁⲙⲉ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥⲙⲉⲧⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉϥⲛⲟⲃⲓ
But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.
Surely I will strengthen myself with the Spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of power, to declare to Jacob his transgressions, and to Israel his sins.
ἐάν μή ἐγώ ἐνπίμπλημι ἰσχύς ἐν πνεῦμα κύριος καί κρίμα καί δυναστεία ὁ ἀποἀγγέλλω ὁ ἰακώβ ἀσέβεια αὐτός καί ὁ ἰσραήλ ἁμαρτία αὐτός
اِسْمَعُوا هَذَا يَا رُؤَسَاءَ بَيْتِ يَعْقُوبَ وَقُضَاةَ بَيْتِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، الَّذِينَ يَكْرَهُونَ الْحَقَّ وَيُعَوِّجُونَ كُلَّ مُسْتَقِيمٍ.
שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֣א זֹ֗את רָאשֵׁי֙ בֵּ֣ית יַעֲקֹ֔ב וּקְצִינֵ֖י בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הַֽמֲתַעֲבִ֣ים מִשְׁפָּ֔ט וְאֵ֥ת כָּל־הַיְשָׁרָ֖ה יְעַקֵּֽשׁוּ׃
Ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲓϩⲩⲅⲟⲩⲙⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲥⲱϫⲡ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲥⲱϥ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲁⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲫⲱⲛϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
Hear this, you heads of the house of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice and pervert all equity,
Hear now these words, ye chiefs of the house of Jacob, and the remnant of the house of Israel, who hate judgment, and pervert all righteousness;
ἀκούω δή οὗτος ὁ ἡγέομαι οἶκος ἰακώβ καί ὁ κατάλοιπος οἶκος ἰσραήλ ὁ βδελύσσω κρίμα καί πᾶς ὁ ὀρθός διαστρέφω
الَّذِينَ يَبْنُونَ صِهْيَوْنَ بِالدِّمَاءِ، وَأُورُشَلِيمَ بِالظُّلْمِ.
בֹּנֶ֥ה צִיֹּ֖ון בְּדָמִ֑ים וִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם בְּעַוְלָֽה׃
Ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲕⲱⲧ ⲛ̀ⲥⲓⲱⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛϭⲓⲛ̀ϫⲟⲛⲥ
who build Zion with blood and Jerusalem with wrong.
who build up Sion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
ὁ οἰκοδομέω σιων ἐν αἷμα καί ἰερουσαλήμ ἐν ἀδικία
رُؤَسَاؤُهَا يَقْضُونَ بِالرَّشْوَةِ، وَكَهَنَتُهَا يُعَلِّمُونَ بِالأُجْرَةِ، وَأَنْبِيَاؤُهَا يَعْرِفُونَ بِالْفِضَّةِ، وَهُمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ عَلَى الرَّبِّ قَائِلِينَ: «أَلَيْسَ الرَّبُّ فِي وَسَطِنَا؟ لَا يَأْتِي عَلَيْنَا شَرٌّ!»
רָאשֶׁ֣יהָ ׀ בְּשֹׁ֣חַד יִשְׁפֹּ֗טוּ וְכֹהֲנֶ֙יהָ֙ בִּמְחִ֣יר יֹור֔וּ וּנְבִיאֶ֖יהָ בְּכֶ֣סֶף יִקְסֹ֑מוּ וְעַל־יְהוָה֙ יִשָּׁעֵ֣נוּ לֵאמֹ֔ר הֲלֹ֤וא יְהוָה֙ בְּקִרְבֵּ֔נוּ לֹֽא־תָבֹ֥וא עָלֵ֖ינוּ רָעָֽה׃
Ⲛⲉⲥϩⲩⲅⲟⲩⲙⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩϯϩⲁⲡ ϧⲁ ⲇⲱⲣⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲥⲟⲩⲏⲃ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ϧⲁ ⲟⲩⲃⲉⲭⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲥⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲣϣⲉⲛϩⲓⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲁⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲡ⳪̅ ϣⲟⲡ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲉⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲓ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲛ
Its heads give judgment for a bribe, its priests teach for hire, its prophets divine for money; yet they lean upon the Lord and say, “Is not the Lord in the midst of us? No evil shall come upon us.”
The heads thereof have judged for gifts, and the priests thereof have answered for hire, and her prophets have divined for silver: and yet they have rested on the Lord, saying, Is not the Lord among us? no evil shall come upon us.
ὁ ἡγέομαι αὐτός μετά δῶρον κρίνον καί ὁ ἱερεύς αὐτός μετά μισθός ἀποκρίνω καί ὁ προφήτης αὐτός μετά ἀργύριον μαντεύομαι καί ἐπί ὁ κύριος ἐπι ἀναπαύω λέγω οὐ κύριος ἐν ἐγώ εἰμί οὐ μή ἐπιἔρχομαι ἐπί ἐγώ κακός
لِذَلِكَ بِسَبَبِكُمْ تُفْلَحُ صِهْيَوْنُ كَحَقْلٍ، وَتَصِيرُ أُورُشَلِيمُ خِرَبًا، وَجَبَلُ الْبَيْتِ شَوَامِخَ وَعْرٍ.
לָכֵן֙ בִּגְלַלְכֶ֔ם צִיֹּ֖ון שָׂדֶ֣ה תֵֽחָרֵ֑שׁ וִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עִיִּ֣ין תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וְהַ֥ר הַבַּ֖יִת לְבָמֹ֥ות יָֽעַר׃ פ
Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲥⲓⲱⲛ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲥⲭⲏⲧⲥ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛ̀ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲛ̀ϫⲓϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲏⲓ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲉⲣ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲓⲁϩϣϣⲏⲛ
Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed as a field; Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the house a wooded height.
Therefore on your account Sion shall be ploughed as a field, and Jerusalem shall be as a storehouse of fruits, and the mountain of the house as a grove of the forest.
διά οὗτος διά σύ σιων ὡς ἀγρός ἀροτριάω καί ἰερουσαλήμ ὡς ὀπωροφυλάκιον εἰμί καί ὁ ὄρος ὁ οἶκος ὡς ἄλσος δρυμός
إصحاح 4
وَيَكُونُ فِي آخِرِ الأَيَّامِ أَنَّ جَبَلَ بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ يَكُونُ ثَابِتًا فِي رَأْسِ الْجِبَالِ، وَيَرْتَفِعُ فَوْقَ التِّلاَلِ، وَتَجْرِي إِلَيْهِ شُعُوبٌ.
וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ בְּאַחֲרִ֣ית הַיָּמִ֗ים יִ֠הְיֶה הַ֣ר בֵּית־יְהוָ֤ה נָכֹון֙ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ הֶהָרִ֔ים וְנִשָּׂ֥א ה֖וּא מִגְּבָעֹ֑ות וְנָהֲר֥וּ עָלָ֖יו עַמִּֽים ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡϧⲁⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲛϩϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲉϥⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲥⲁⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲑⲁⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲓⲱⲥ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ
Peace and Security through Obedience It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it,
And at the last days the mountain of the Lord shall be manifest, established on the tops of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and the peoples shall hasten to it.
καί εἰμί ἐπί ἔσχατος ὁ ἡμέρα ἐμφανής ὁ ὄρος ὁ κύριος ἕτοιμος ἐπί ὁ κορυφή ὁ ὄρος καί μετεωρίζω ὑπεράνω ὁ βουνός καί σπεύδω πρός αὐτός λαός
وَتَسِيرُ أُمَمٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَيَقُولُونَ: «هَلُمَّ نَصْعَدْ إِلَى جَبَلِ الرَّبِّ، وَإِلَى بَيْتِ إِلَهِ يَعْقُوبَ، فَيُعَلِّمَنَا مِنْ طُرُقِهِ، وَنَسْلُكَ فِي سُبُلِهِ». لأَنَّهُ مِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ تَخْرُجُ الشَّرِيعَةُ، وَمِنْ أُورُشَلِيمَ كَلِمَةُ الرَّبِّ.
וְֽהָלְכ֞וּ גֹּויִ֣ם רַבִּ֗ים וְאָֽמְרוּ֙ לְכ֣וּ ׀ וְנַעֲלֶ֣ה אֶל־הַר־יְהוָ֗ה וְאֶל־בֵּית֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְיֹורֵ֙נוּ֙ מִדְּרָכָ֔יו וְנֵלְכָ֖ה בְּאֹֽרְחֹתָ֑יו כִּ֤י מִצִּיֹּון֙ תֵּצֵ֣א תֹורָ֔ה וּדְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה מִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲙⲟϣⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲛ̀ⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲙⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙ̀ⲫϯ ⲛ̀ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲙⲟⲛ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉϥⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲛⲉ̀ⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲛ̀ⲙⲟϣⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲥⲓⲱⲛ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅
and many nations shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
And many nations shall go, and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and they shall shew us his way, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Sion shall go forth a law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
καί πορεύομαι ἔθνος πολύς καί εἶπον δεῦτε ἀναβαίνω εἰς ὁ ὄρος κύριος καί εἰς ὁ οἶκος ὁ θεός ἰακώβ καί δεικνύω ἐγώ ὁ ὁδός αὐτός καί πορεύομαι ἐν ὁ τρίβος αὐτός ὅτι ἐκ σιων ἐκἔρχομαι νόμος καί λόγος κύριος ἐκ ἰερουσαλήμ
فَيَقْضِي بَيْنَ شُعُوبٍ كَثِيرِينَ. يُنْصِفُ لأُمَمٍ قَوِيَّةٍ بَعِيدَةٍ، فَيَطْبَعُونَ سُيُوفَهُمْ سِكَكًا، وَرِمَاحَهُمْ مَنَاجِلَ. لَا تَرْفَعُ أُمَّةٌ عَلَى أُمَّةٍ سَيْفًا، وَلَا يَتَعَلَّمُونَ الْحَرْبَ فِي مَا بَعْدُ.
וְשָׁפַ֗ט בֵּ֚ין עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים וְהֹוכִ֛יחַ לְגֹויִ֥ם עֲצֻמִ֖ים עַד־רָחֹ֑וק וְכִתְּת֨וּ חַרְבֹתֵיהֶ֜ם לְאִתִּ֗ים וַחֲנִיתֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ לְמַזְמֵרֹ֔ות לֹֽא־יִשְׂא֞וּ גֹּ֤וי אֶל־גֹּוי֙ חֶ֔רֶב וְלֹא־יִלְמְד֥וּן עֹ֖וד מִלְחָמָֽה׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϯϩⲁⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲟϣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥⲛⲁⲥⲟϩⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲟⲣϫ ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲏⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϩⲱⲙⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏϥⲓ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛϩⲉⲃⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩⲓ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲟϧⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉ ⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ϭⲓ ⲥⲏϥⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϭⲓⲥⲃⲱ ϫⲉ ⲉ̀ⲃⲱⲧⲥ
He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more;

καί κρίνω ἀνά μέσος λαός πολύς καί ἐκἐλέγχω ἔθνος ἰσχυρός ἕως εἰς γῆ μακράν καί κατακόπτω ὁ ῥομφαία αὐτός εἰς ἄροτρον καί ὁ δόρυ αὐτός εἰς δρέπανον καί οὐκέτι μή ἀντιαἴρω ἔθνος ἐπί ἔθνος ῥομφαία καί οὐκέτι μή μανθάνω πολεμέω
بَلْ يَجْلِسُونَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ تَحْتَ كَرْمَتِهِ وَتَحْتَ تِينَتِهِ، وَلَا يَكُونُ مَنْ يُرْعِبُ، لأَنَّ فَمَ رَبِّ الْجُنُودِ تَكَلَّمَ.
וְיָשְׁב֗וּ אִ֣ישׁ תַּ֧חַת גַּפְנֹ֛ו וְתַ֥חַת תְּאֵנָתֹ֖ו וְאֵ֣ין מַחֲרִ֑יד כִּי־פִ֛י יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֹ֖ות דִּבֵּֽר׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙ̀ⲧⲟⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲥⲁⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲃⲱ ⲛ̀ⲁⲗⲟⲗⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲥⲁⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲃⲱ ⲛ̀ⲕⲉⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϯϩⲟϯ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲣⲱϥ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ ⲡⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲓ
but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and none shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.
And every one shall rest under his vine, and every one under his fig-tree; and there shall be none to alarm them: for the mouth of the Lord Almighty has spoken these words.
καί ἀναπαύω ἕκαστος ὑποκάτω ἄμπελος αὐτός καί ἕκαστος ὑποκάτω συκῆ αὐτός καί οὐ εἰμί ὁ ἐκφοβέω διότι ὁ στόμα κύριος παντοκράτωρ λαλέω οὗτος
لأَنَّ جَمِيعَ الشُّعُوبِ يَسْلُكُونَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ بِاسْمِ إِلَهِهِ، وَنَحْنُ نَسْلُكُ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا إِلَى الدَّهْرِ وَالأَبَدِ.
כִּ֚י כָּל־הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים יֵלְכ֕וּ אִ֖ישׁ בְּשֵׁ֣ם אֱלֹהָ֑יו וַאֲנַ֗חְנוּ נֵלֵ֛ךְ בְּשֵׁם־יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ לְעֹולָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ פ
Ϫⲉ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲉ̀ⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ϣⲁ ⲡⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲥⲁⲙⲛⲏ
For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
For all other nations shall walk everyone in his own way, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
ὅτι πᾶς ὁ λαός πορεύομαι ἕκαστος ὁ ὁδός αὐτός ἐγώ δέ πορεύομαι ἐν ὄνομα κύριος θεός ἐγώ εἰς ὁ αἰών καί ἐπέκεινα
«فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، أَجْمَعُ الظَّالِعَةَ، وَأَضُمُّ الْمَطْرُودَةَ، وَالَّتِي أَضْرَرْتُ بِهَا.
בַּיֹּ֨ום הַה֜וּא נְאֻם־יְהוָ֗ה אֹֽסְפָה֙ הַצֹּ֣לֵעָ֔ה וְהַנִּדָּחָ֖ה אֲקַבֵּ֑צָה וַאֲשֶׁ֖ר הֲרֵעֹֽתִי׃
Ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ϯⲛⲁⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲙϧⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϩⲓⲧⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϯⲛⲁϣⲟⲡⲥ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲓⲭⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱⲓ
Restoration Promised after Exile In that day, says the Lord, I will assemble the lame and gather those who have been driven away, and those whom I have afflicted;
In that day, saith the Lord, I will gather her that is bruised, and will receive her that is cast out, and those whom I rejected.
ἐν ὁ ἡμέρα ἐκεῖνος λέγω κύριος συνἄγω ὁ συντρίβω καί ὁ ἐκὠθέω εἰςδέχομαι καί ὅς ἀποὠθέω
وَأَجْعَلُ الظَّالِعَةَ بَقِيَّةً، وَالْمُقْصَاةَ أُمَّةً قَوِيَّةً، وَيَمْلِكُ الرَّبُّ عَلَيْهِمْ فِي جَبَلِ صِهْيَوْنَ مِنَ الآنَ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.
וְשַׂמְתִּ֤י אֶת־הַצֹּֽלֵעָה֙ לִשְׁאֵרִ֔ית וְהַנַּהֲלָאָ֖ה לְגֹ֣וי עָצ֑וּם וּמָלַ֨ךְ יְהוָ֤ה עֲלֵיהֶם֙ בְּהַ֣ר צִיֹּ֔ון מֵעַתָּ֖ה וְעַד־עֹולָֽם׃ פ
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲱ ⲛ̀ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲙϧⲱⲙ ⲉⲩⲥⲱϫⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϩⲓⲧⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲉⲣⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲥⲓⲱⲛ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ
and the lame I will make the remnant; and those who were cast off, a strong nation; and the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion from this time forth and for evermore.
And I will make her that was bruised a remnant, and her that was rejected a mighty nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Sion from henceforth, even for ever.
καί τίθημι ὁ συντρίβω εἰς ὑπόλειμμα καί ὁ ἀποὠθέω εἰς ἔθνος ἰσχυρός καί βασιλεύω κύριος ἐπί αὐτός ἐν ὄρος σιων ἀπό ὁ νῦν καί ἕως εἰς ὁ αἰών
وَأَنْتَ يَا بُرْجَ الْقَطِيعِ، أَكَمَةَ بِنْتِ صِهْيَوْنَ إِلَيْكِ يَأْتِي. وَيَجِيءُ الْحُكْمُ الأَوَّلُ مُلْكُ بِنْتِ أُورُشَلِيمَ».
וְאַתָּ֣ה מִגְדַּל־עֵ֗דֶר עֹ֛פֶל בַּת־צִיֹּ֖ון עָדֶ֣יךָ תֵּאתֶ֑ה וּבָאָ֗ה הַמֶּמְשָׁלָה֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה מַמְלֶ֖כֶת לְבַ֥ת־יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲓⲡⲩⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲗⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲧϣⲉⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲓⲱⲛ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ϯⲁⲣⲭⲏ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛ̀ϩⲟⲩⲓϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲃⲁⲃⲩⲗⲱⲛ ⲧϣⲉⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅
And you, O tower of the flock, hill of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, the former dominion shall come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.
And thou, dark tower of the flock, daughter of Sion, on thee the dominion shall come and enter in, even the first kingdom from Babylon to the daughter of Jerusalem.
καί σύ πύργος ποίμνιον αὐχμώδης θυγάτηρ σιων ἐπί σύ ἥκω καί εἰςἔρχομαι ὁ ἀρχή ὁ πρῶτος βασιλεία ἐκ βαβυλών ὁ θυγάτηρ ἰερουσαλήμ
اَلآنَ لِمَاذَا تَصْرُخِينَ صُرَاخًا؟ أَلَيْسَ فِيكِ مَلِكٌ، أَمْ هَلَكَ مُشِيرُكِ حَتَّى أَخَذَكِ وَجَعٌ كَالْوَالِدَةِ؟
עַתָּ֕ה לָ֥מָּה תָרִ֖יעִי רֵ֑עַ הֲמֶ֣לֶךְ אֵֽין־בָּ֗ךְ אִֽם־יֹועֲצֵךְ֙ אָבָ֔ד כִּֽי־הֶחֱזִיקֵ֥ךְ חִ֖יל כַּיֹּולֵדָֽה׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲁⲣⲉⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲓⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲥⲟϭⲛⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲛⲁⲕϩⲓ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲙⲓⲥⲓ
Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pangs have seized you like a woman in travail?
And now, why hast thou known calamities? was there not a king to thee? or has thy counsel perished that pangs as of a woman in travail have seized upon thee?
καί νῦν ἵνα τίς γιγνώσκω κακός μή βασιλεύς οὐ εἰμί σύ ἤ ὁ βουλή σύ ἀποὀλλύω ὅτι κατακρατέω σύ ὠδίν ὡς τίκτω
تَلَوَّيِ، ادْفَعِي يَا بِنْتَ صِهْيَوْنَ كَالْوَالِدَةِ، لأَنَّكِ الآنَ تَخْرُجِينَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَتَسْكُنِينَ فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ، وَتَأْتِينَ إِلَى بَابِلَ. هُنَاكَ تُنْقَذِينَ. هُنَاكَ يَفْدِيكِ الرَّبُّ مِنْ يَدِ أَعْدَائِكِ.
ח֧וּלִי וָגֹ֛חִי בַּת־צִיֹּ֖ון כַּיֹּֽולֵדָ֑ה כִּֽי־עַתָּה֩ תֵצְאִ֨י מִקִּרְיָ֜ה וְשָׁכַ֣נְתְּ בַּשָּׂדֶ֗ה וּבָ֤את עַד־בָּבֶל֙ שָׁ֣ם תִּנָּצֵ֔לִי ם יִגְאָלֵ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה מִכַּ֖ף אֹיְבָֽיִךְ׃
Ⲙⲁⲛⲁⲕϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϫⲉⲙⲛⲟⲙϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲱⲛⲧ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧϣⲉⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲓⲱⲛ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲙⲓⲥⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲉ̀ⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉϣϣⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ̀ⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁ ⲃⲁⲃⲩⲗⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲛⲁϩⲙⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲥⲟⲧϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧϫⲓϫ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϫⲁϫⲓ
Writhe and groan, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now you shall go forth from the city and dwell in the open country; you shall go to Babylon. There you shall be rescued, there the Lord will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.
Be in pain, and strengthen thyself, and draw near, O daughter of Sion, as a woman in travail: for now thou shalt go forth out of the city, and shalt lodge in the plain, and shalt reach even to Babylon: thence shall the Lord thy God deliver thee, and thence shall he redeem thee out of the hand of thine enemies.
ὠδίνω καί ἀνδρίζομαι καί ἐγγίζω θυγάτηρ σιων ὡς τίκτω διότι νῦν ἐκἔρχομαι ἐκ πόλις καί κατασκηνόω ἐν πεδίον καί ἥκω ἕως βαβυλών ἐκεῖθεν ῥύομαι σύ καί ἐκεῖθεν λυτρόω σύ κύριος ὁ θεός σύ ἐκ χείρ ἐχθρός σύ
وَالآنَ قَدِ اجْتَمَعَتْ عَلَيْكِ أُمَمٌ كَثِيرَةٌ، الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ: «لِتَتَدَنَّسْ وَلْتَتَفَرَّسْ عُيُونُنَا فِي صِهْيَوْنَ».
וְעַתָּ֛ה נֶאֶסְפ֥וּ עָלַ֖יִךְ גֹּויִ֣ם רַבִּ֑ים הָאֹמְרִ֣ים תֶּחֱנָ֔ף וְתַ֥חַז בְּצִיֹּ֖ון עֵינֵֽינוּ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⲛ̀ⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲥⲓⲱⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲃⲁⲗ
Now many nations are assembled against you, saying, “Let her be profaned, and let our eyes gaze upon Zion.”
And now have many nations gathered against thee, saying, We will rejoice, and our eyes shall look upon Sion.
καί νῦν ἐπι συνἄγω ἐπί σύ ἔθνος πολύς ὁ λέγω ἐπιχαίρω καί ἐπιὁράω ἐπί σιων ὁ ὀφθαλμός ἐγώ
وَهُمْ لَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَفْكَارَ الرَّبِّ وَلَا يَفْهَمُونَ قَصْدَهُ، إِنَّهُ قَدْ جَمَعَهُمْ كَحُزَمٍ إِلَى الْبَيْدَرِ.
וְהֵ֗מָּה לֹ֤א יָֽדְעוּ֙ מַחְשְׁבֹ֣ות יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א הֵבִ֖ינוּ עֲצָתֹ֑ו כִּ֥י קִבְּצָ֖ם כֶּעָמִ֥יר גֹּֽרְנָה׃
Ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⲙ̀ⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲕⲁϯ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉϥⲥⲟϭⲛⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲑⲟⲩⲱⲧⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲭⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩϭⲛⲱⲟⲩ
But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord, they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor.
But they know not the thought of the Lord, and have not understood his counsel: for he has gathered them as sheaves of the floor.
αὐτός δέ οὐ γιγνώσκω ὁ λογισμός κύριος καί οὐ συνἵημι ὁ βουλή αὐτός ὅτι συνἄγω αὐτός ὡς δράγμα ἅλων
«قُومِي وَدُوسِي يَا بِنْتَ صِهْيَوْنَ، لأَنِّي أَجْعَلُ قَرْنَكِ حَدِيدًا، وَأَظْلاَفَكِ أَجْعَلُهَا نُحَاسًا، فَتَسْحَقِينَ شُعُوبًا كَثِيرِينَ، وَأُحَرِّمُ غَنِيمَتَهُمْ لِلرَّبِّ، وَثَرْوَتَهُمْ لِسَيِّدِ كُلِّ الأَرْضِ».
ק֧וּמִי וָדֹ֣ושִׁי בַת־צִיֹּ֗ון כִּֽי־קַרְנֵ֞ךְ אָשִׂ֤ים בַּרְזֶל֙ וּפַרְסֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ אָשִׂ֣ים נְחוּשָׁ֔ה וַהֲדִקֹּ֖ות עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים וְהַחֲרַמְתִּ֤י לַֽיהוָה֙ בִּצְעָ֔ם וְחֵילָ֖ם לַאֲדֹ֥ון כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
Ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲉⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲧϣⲉⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲓⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲁⲡ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲃⲉⲛⲓⲡⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲓⲉⲃ ϯⲛⲁⲭⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛϩⲟⲙⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ̀ⲃⲱⲗ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲟϣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉ̀ⲭⲱ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲟⲩϫⲟⲙ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ
Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron and your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples, and shall devote their gain to the Lord, their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth.
Arise, and thresh them, O daughter of Sion: for I will make thine horns iron, and I will make thine hoofs brass: and thou shalt utterly destroy many nations, and shalt consecrate their abundance to the Lord, and their strength to the Lord of all the earth.
ἀναἵστημι καί ἀλοάω αὐτός θυγάτηρ σιων ὅτι ὁ κέρας σύ τίθημι σιδηροῦς καί ὁ ὁπλή σύ τίθημι χαλκοῦς καί κατατήκω ἐν αὐτός ἔθνος καί λεπτύνω λαός πολύς καί ἀνατίθημι ὁ κύριος ὁ πλῆθος αὐτός καί ὁ ἰσχύς αὐτός ὁ κύριος πᾶς ὁ γῆ
إصحاح 5
اَلآنَ تَتَجَيَّشِينَ يَا بِنْتَ الْجُيُوشِ. قَدْ أَقَامَ عَلَيْنَا مِتْرَسَةً. يَضْرِبُونَ قَاضِيَ إِسْرَائِيلَ بِقَضِيبٍ عَلَى خَدِّهِ.
עַתָּה֙ תִּתְגֹּדְדִ֣י בַת־גְּד֔וּד מָצֹ֖ור שָׂ֣ם עָלֵ֑ינוּ בַּשֵּׁ֙בֶט֙ יַכּ֣וּ עַֽל־הַלְּחִ֔י אֵ֖ת שֹׁפֵ֥ט יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס
Ϯⲛⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲑⲁⲙ ϯⲛⲁϣⲑⲁⲙ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲉⲛ ⲧϣⲉⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲉⲫⲣⲉⲙ ⲁϥⲑⲱϣ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲟϫϩⲉϫ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲃⲱⲧ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϩⲉⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲟϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅
Now you are walled about with a wall; siege is laid against us; with a rod they strike upon the cheek the ruler of Israel.
Now shall the daughter of Sion be completely hedged in: he has laid siege against us: they shall smite the tribes of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
καί σύ βηθλεεμ οἶκος ὁ εφραθα ὀλιγοστός εἰμί ὁ εἰμί ἐν χιλιάς ιουδα ἐκ σύ ἐγώ ἐκἔρχομαι ὁ εἰμί εἰς ἄρχων ἐν ὁ ἰσραήλ καί ὁ ἔξοδος αὐτός ἀπό ἀρχή ἐκ ἡμέρα αἰών
«أَمَّا أَنْتِ يَا بَيْتَ لَحْمِ أَفْرَاتَةَ، وَأَنْتِ صَغِيرَةٌ أَنْ تَكُونِي بَيْنَ أُلُوفِ يَهُوذَا، فَمِنْكِ يَخْرُجُ لِي الَّذِي يَكُونُ مُتَسَلِّطًا عَلَى إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَمَخَارِجُهُ مُنْذُ الْقَدِيمِ، مُنْذُ أَيَّامِ الأَزَلِ».
וְאַתָּ֞ה בֵּֽית־לֶ֣חֶם אֶפְרָ֗תָה צָעִיר֙ לִֽהְיֹות֙ בְּאַלְפֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה מִמְּךָ֙ לִ֣י יֵצֵ֔א לִֽהְיֹ֥ות מֹושֵׁ֖ל בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּמֹוצָאֹתָ֥יו מִקֶּ֖דֶם מִימֵ֥י עֹולָֽם׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟ ⲃⲏⲑⲗⲉⲉⲙ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲉⲫⲣⲁⲑⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟ ⲉ̀ⲡϫⲓⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲁⲛⲁⲛϣⲟ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϧⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲏⲅⲟⲩⲙⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲩⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲛ̀ⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲉϩ
The Ruler from Bethlehem But you, O Bethlehem Eph′rathah, who are little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.
And thou, Bethleem, house of Ephratha, art few in number to be reckoned among the thousands of Juda; yet out of thee shall one come forth to me, to be a ruler of Israel; and his goings forth were from the beginning, even from eternity.
διά οὗτος δίδωμι αὐτός ἕως καιρός τίκτω τίκτω καί ὁ ἐπίλοιπος ὁ ἀδελφός αὐτός ἐπιστρέφω ἐπί ὁ υἱός ἰσραήλ
لِذَلِكَ يُسَلِّمُهُمْ إِلَى حِينَمَا تَكُونُ قَدْ وَلَدَتْ وَالِدَةٌ، ثُمَّ تَرْجِعُ بَقِيَّةُ إِخْوَتِهِ إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ.
לָכֵ֣ן יִתְּנֵ֔ם עַד־עֵ֥ת יֹולֵדָ֖ה יָלָ֑דָה וְיֶ֣תֶר אֶחָ֔יו יְשׁוּב֖וּן עַל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⲟⲩⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲥⲉⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅
Therefore he shall give them up until the time when she who is in travail has brought forth; then the rest of his brethren shall return to the people of Israel.
Therefore shall he appoint them to wait till the time of her that travails: she shall bring forth, and then the remnant of their brethren shall return to the children of Israel.
καί ἵστημι καί ὁράω καί ποιμαίνω ὁ ποίμνιον αὐτός ἐν ἰσχύς κύριος καί ἐν ὁ δόξα ὁ ὄνομα κύριος ὁ θεός αὐτός ὑποἄρχω διότι νῦν μεγαλύνω ἕως ἄκρος ὁ γῆ
وَيَقِفُ وَيَرْعَى بِقُدْرَةِ الرَّبِّ، بِعَظَمَةِ اسْمِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِهِ، وَيَثْبُتُونَ. لأَنَّهُ الآنَ يَتَعَظَّمُ إِلَى أَقَاصِي الأَرْضِ.
וְעָמַ֗ד וְרָעָה֙ בְּעֹ֣ז יְהוָ֔ה בִּגְאֹ֕ון שֵׁ֖ם יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יו וְיָשָׁ֕בוּ כִּֽי־עַתָּ֥ה יִגְדַּ֖ל עַד־אַפְסֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲟϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲛⲁϩⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲟϩⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϫⲟⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲡⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩϯ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲉⲣⲛⲓϣϯ ϣⲁ ⲛⲓⲗⲁⲕϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ
And he shall stand and feed his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth.
And the Lord shall stand, and see, and feed his flock with power, and they shall dwell in the glory of the name of the Lord their God: for now shall they be magnified to the ends of the earth.
καί εἰμί οὗτος εἰρήνη ὅταν ἀσσύριος ἐπιἔρχομαι ἐπί ὁ γῆ σύ καί ὅταν ἐπιβαίνω ἐπί ὁ χώρα σύ καί ἐπιἐγείρω ἐπί αὐτός ἑπτά ποιμήν καί ὀκτώ δῆγμα ἄνθρωπος
وَيَكُونُ هَذَا سَلاَمًا. إِذَا دَخَلَ أَشُّورُ فِي أَرْضِنَا، وَإِذَا دَاسَ فِي قُصُورِنَا، نُقِيمُ عَلَيْهِ سَبْعَةَ رُعَاةٍ وَثَمَانِيَةً مِنْ أُمَرَاءِ النَّاسِ،
וְהָיָ֥ה זֶ֖ה שָׁלֹ֑ום אַשּׁ֣וּר ׀ כִּֽי־יָבֹ֣וא בְאַרְצֵ֗נוּ וְכִ֤י יִדְרֹךְ֙ בְּאַרְמְנֹתֵ֔ינוּ וַהֲקֵמֹ֤נוּ עָלָיו֙ שִׁבְעָ֣ה רֹעִ֔ים וּשְׁמֹנָ֖ה נְסִיכֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲧⲁϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲡⲓⲁⲥⲥⲩⲣⲓⲟⲥ ⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱϥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲍ̅ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲏ̅ ⲛ̀ⲗⲁⲏⲥⲓ ⲛ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ
And this shall be peace, when the Assyrian comes into our land and treads upon our soil, that we will raise against him seven shepherds and eight princes of men;
And she shall have peace when Assur shall come into your land, and when he shall come up upon your country; and there shall be raised up against him seven shepherds, and eight attacks of men.
καί ποιμαίνω ὁ ασσουρ ἐν ῥομφαία καί ὁ γῆ ὁ νεβρωδ ἐν ὁ τάφρος αὐτός καί ῥύομαι ἐκ ὁ ασσουρ ὅταν ἐπιἔρχομαι ἐπί ὁ γῆ σύ καί ὅταν ἐπιβαίνω ἐπί ὁ ὅριον σύ
فَيَرْعَوْنَ أَرْضَ أَشُّورَ بِالسَّيْفِ، وَأَرْضَ نِمْرُودَ فِي أَبْوَابِهَا، فَيَنْفُذُ مِنْ أَشُّورَ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَرْضَنَا وَإِذَا دَاسَ تُخُومَنَا.
וְרָע֞וּ אֶת־אֶ֤רֶץ אַשּׁוּר֙ בַּחֶ֔רֶב וְאֶת־אֶ֥רֶץ נִמְרֹ֖ד בִּפְתָחֶ֑יהָ וְהִצִּיל֙ מֵֽאַשּׁ֔וּר כִּֽי־יָבֹ֣וא בְאַרְצֵ֔נוּ וְכִ֥י יִדְרֹ֖ךְ בִּגְבוּלֵֽנוּ׃ ס
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲁⲥⲥⲩⲣⲓⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲏϥⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲉⲫⲣⲟϫ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲧⲁⲫⲣⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲁⲥⲥⲟⲩⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲑⲟϣ
they shall rule the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod with the drawn sword; and they shall deliver us from the Assyrian when he comes into our land and treads within our border.
And they shall tend the Assyrian with a sword, and the land of Nebrod with her trench: and he shall deliver you from the Assyrian, when he shall come upon your land, and when he shall invade your coasts.
καί εἰμί ὁ ὑπόλειμμα ὁ ἰακώβ ἐν ὁ ἔθνος ἐν μέσος λαός πολύς ὡς δρόσος παρά κύριος πίπτω καί ὡς ἀρνός ἐπί ἄγρωστις ὅπως μή συνἄγω μηδείς μηδέ ὑποἵστημι ἐν υἱός ἄνθρωπος
وَتَكُونُ بَقِيَّةُ يَعْقُوبَ فِي وَسَطِ شُعُوبٍ كَثِيرِينَ كَالنَّدَى مِنْ عِنْدِ الرَّبِّ، كَالْوَابِلِ عَلَى الْعُشْبِ الَّذِي لَا يَنْتَظِرُ إِنْسَانًا وَلَا يَصْبِرُ لِبَنِي الْبَشَرِ.
וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יַעֲקֹ֗ב בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים כְּטַל֙ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה כִּרְבִיבִ֖ים עֲלֵי־עֵ֑שֶׂב אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־יְקַוֶּה֙ לְאִ֔ישׁ וְלֹ֥א יְיַחֵ֖ל לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲱϫⲡ ⲛ̀ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲟϣ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲓⲱϯ ⲉⲥϩⲓⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲓⲏⲃ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲕⲣⲟⲥⲑⲉⲛ ϩⲟⲡⲱⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙ ϩⲗⲓ ⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲟϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ
The Future Role of the Remnant Then the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples like dew from the Lord, like showers upon the grass, which tarry not for men nor wait for the sons of men.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many peoples, as dew falling from the Lord, and as lambs on the grass; that none may assemble nor resist among the sons of men.
καί εἰμί ὁ ὑπόλειμμα ὁ ἰακώβ ἐν ὁ ἔθνος ἐν μέσος λαός πολύς ὡς λέων ἐν κτῆνος ἐν ὁ δρυμός καί ὡς σκύμνος ἐν ποίμνιον πρόβατον ὅς τρόπος ὅταν διαἔρχομαι καί διαστέλλω ἁρπάζω καί μή εἰμί ὁ ἐκαἱρέω
وَتَكُونُ بَقِيَّةُ يَعْقُوبَ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ فِي وَسَطِ شُعُوبٍ كَثِيرِينَ كَالأَسَدِ بَيْنَ وُحُوشِ الْوَعْرِ، كَشِبْلِ الأَسَدِ بَيْنَ قُطْعَانِ الْغَنَمِ، الَّذِي إِذَا عَبَرَ يَدُوسُ وَيَفْتَرِسُ وَلَيْسَ مَنْ يُنْقِذُ.
וְהָיָה֩ שְׁאֵרִ֨ית יַעֲקֹ֜ב בַּגֹּויִ֗ם בְּקֶ֙רֶב֙ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים כְּאַרְיֵה֙ בְּבַהֲמֹ֣ות יַ֔עַר כִּכְפִ֖יר בְּעֶדְרֵי־צֹ֑אן אֲשֶׁ֧ר אִם עָבַ֛ר וְרָמַ֥ס וְטָרַ֖ף וְאֵ֥ין מַצִּֽיל׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲱϫⲡ ⲛ̀ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲟϣ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲓ ⲉϥⲭⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲧⲉⲃⲛⲱⲟⲩⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲇⲣⲩⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲩⲓ ⲉϥⲭⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲟϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛⲓ̀ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥϫⲟⲣⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥϩⲱⲗⲉⲙ ⲛⲉϥϣⲟⲡ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲉⲣⲃⲟⲏⲑⲓⲛ
And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, which, when it goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is none to deliver.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many nations, as a lion in the forest among cattle, and as a lion’s whelp among the flocks of sheep, even as when he goes through, and selects, and carries off his prey, and there is none to deliver.
ὑψόω ὁ χείρ σύ ἐπί ὁ θλίβω σύ καί πᾶς ὁ ἐχθρός σύ ἐκὀλεθρεύω
لِتَرْتَفِعْ يَدُكَ عَلَى مُبْغِضِيكَ وَيَنْقَرِضْ كُلُّ أَعْدَائِكَ.
תָּרֹ֥ם יָדְךָ֖ עַל־צָרֶ֑יךָ וְכָל־אֹיְבֶ֖יךָ יִכָּרֵֽתוּ׃ פ
Ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲕϫⲓϫ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϩⲟϫϩⲉϫ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϥⲱϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲕϫⲁϫⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
Your hand shall be lifted up over your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off.
Thine hand shall be lifted up against them that afflict thee, and all thine enemies shall be utterly destroyed.
καί εἰμί ἐν ἐκεῖνος ὁ ἡμέρα λέγω κύριος ἐκὀλεθρεύω ὁ ἵππος σύ ἐκ μέσος σύ καί ἀποὀλλύω ὁ ἅρμα σύ
«وَيَكُونُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، أَنِّي أَقْطَعُ خَيْلَكَ مِنْ وَسَطِكَ، وَأُبِيدُ مَرْكَبَاتِكَ.
וְהָיָ֤ה בַיֹּום־הַהוּא֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י סוּסֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֖י מַרְכְּבֹתֶֽיךָ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ϯⲛⲁϥⲱϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕϩⲑⲱⲣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲏϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕϩⲁⲣⲙⲁ
And in that day, says the Lord, I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots;
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will utterly destroy the horses out of the midst of thee, and destroy thy chariots;
καί ἐκὀλεθρεύω ὁ πόλις ὁ γῆ σύ καί ἐκαἴρω πᾶς ὁ ὀχύρωμα σύ
وَأَقْطَعُ مُدُنَ أَرْضِكَ، وَأَهْدِمُ كُلَّ حُصُونِكَ.
וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י עָרֵ֣י אַרְצֶ֑ךָ וְהָרַסְתִּ֖י כָּל־מִבְצָרֶֽיךָ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁϥⲱϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲱⲗⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲧϫⲟⲣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁϥⲱϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕⲫⲁϧⲣⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲕϫⲓϫ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲕ
and I will cut off the cities of your land and throw down all your strongholds;
and I will utterly destroy the cities of thy land, and demolish all thy strong-holds:
καί ἐκαἴρω ὁ φάρμακον σύ ἐκ ὁ χείρ σύ καί ἀποφθέγγομαι οὐ εἰμί ἐν σύ
وَأَقْطَعُ السِّحْرَ مِنْ يَدِكَ، وَلَا يَكُونُ لَكَ عَائِفُونَ.
וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י כְשָׁפִ֖ים מִיָּדֶ֑ךָ וּֽמְעֹונְנִ֖ים לֹ֥א יִֽהְיוּ־לָֽךְ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁϥⲱϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕⲫⲱⲧϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲕⲥⲧⲩⲗⲏ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲏϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕⲟⲩⲱⲙ ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲕϫⲓϫ
and I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no more soothsayers;
and I will utterly destroy thy sorceries out of thine hands; and there shall be no soothsayers in thee.
καί ἐκὀλεθρεύω ὁ γλυπτός σύ καί ὁ στήλη σύ ἐκ μέσος σύ καί οὐκέτι μή προςκυνέω ὁ ἔργον ὁ χείρ σύ
وَأَقْطَعُ تَمَاثِيلَكَ الْمَنْحُوتَةَ وَأَنْصَابَكَ مِنْ وَسَطِكَ، فَلَا تَسْجُدُ لِعَمَلِ يَدَيْكَ فِي مَا بَعْدُ.
וְהִכְרַתִּ֧י פְסִילֶ֛יךָ וּמַצֵּבֹותֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְלֹֽא־תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה עֹ֖וד לְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָדֶֽיךָ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲕⲱⲣϫ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲓⲁϩϣϣⲏⲛ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲏϯ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕⲃⲁⲕⲓ
and I will cut off your images and your pillars from among you, and you shall bow down no more to the work of your hands;
And I will utterly destroy thy graven images, and thy statues out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt never any more worship the works of thine hands.
καί ἐκκόπτω ὁ ἄλσος σύ ἐκ μέσος σύ καί ἀπο ἀναἵζω ὁ πόλις σύ
وَأَقْلَعُ سَوَارِيَكَ مِنْ وَسَطِكَ وَأُبِيدُ مُدُنَكَ.
וְנָתַשְׁתִּ֥י אֲשֵׁירֶ֖יךָ מִקִּרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְהִשְׁמַדְתִּ֖י עָרֶֽיךָ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲓⲣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲃⲟⲛ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϭⲓⲙ̀ⲡϣⲓϣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲫⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱⲓ
and I will root out your Ashe′rim from among you and destroy your cities.
And I will cut off the groves out of the midst of thee, and I will abolish thy cities.
καί ποιέω ἐν ὀργή καί ἐν θυμός ἐκδίκησις ἐν ὁ ἔθνος ἀντί ὅς οὐ εἰςἀκούω
وَبِغَضَبٍ وَغَيْظٍ أَنْتَقِمُ مِنَ الأُمَمِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْمَعُوا».
וְעָשִׂ֜יתִי בְּאַ֧ף וּבְחֵמָ֛ה נָקָ֖ם אֶת־הַגֹּויִ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃ ס

And in anger and wrath I will execute vengeance upon the nations that did not obey.
and I will execute vengeance on the heathen in anger and wrath, because they hearkened not.
Και θέλω κάμει εκδίκησιν μετά θυμού και μετ' οργής επί τα έθνη, τα οποία δεν μου εισήκουσαν.
إصحاح 6
اِسْمَعُوا مَا قَالَهُ الرَّبُّ: «قُمْ خَاصِمْ لَدَى الْجِبَالِ وَلْتَسْمَعِ التِّلاَلُ صَوْتَكَ.
שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֕א אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־יְהוָ֖ה אֹמֵ֑ר ק֚וּם רִ֣יב אֶת־הֶהָרִ֔ים וְתִשְׁמַ֥עְנָה הַגְּבָעֹ֖ות קֹולֶֽךָ׃
Ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ϫⲉ ⲉ̀ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲡ⳪̅ ϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲧⲱⲛⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϭⲓϩⲁⲡ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲛⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲑⲁⲗ ⲉⲧ̀ⲉⲕⲥⲙⲏ
God Challenges Israel Hear what the Lord says: Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.
Hear now a word: the Lord God has said; Arise, plead with the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
ἀκούω δή λόγος κύριος κύριος εἶπον ἀναἵστημι κρίνω πρός ὁ ὄρος καί ἀκούω ὁ βουνός φωνή σύ
اِسْمَعِي خُصُومَةَ الرَّبِّ أَيَّتُهَا الْجِبَالُ وَيَا أُسُسَ الأَرْضِ الدَّائِمَةَ. فَإِنَّ لِلرَّبِّ خُصُومَةً مَعَ شَعْبِهِ وَهُوَ يُحَاكِمُ إِسْرَائِيلَ:
שִׁמְע֤וּ הָרִים֙ אֶת־רִ֣יב יְהוָ֔ה וְהָאֵתָנִ֖ים מֹ֣סְדֵי אָ֑רֶץ כִּ֣י רִ֤יב לַֽיהוָה֙ עִם־עַמֹּ֔ו וְעִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יִתְוַכָּֽח׃
Ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲑⲁⲗ ⲉ̀ⲡϩⲁⲡ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓϧⲉⲗⲗⲟⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲥⲉⲛϯ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡϩⲁⲡ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥⲛⲁⲥⲟϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅
Hear, you mountains, the controversy of the Lord, and you enduring foundations of the earth; for the Lord has a controversy with his people, and he will contend with Israel.
Hear ye, O mountains, the controversy of the Lord, and ye valleys even the foundations of the earth: for the Lord has a controversy with his people, and will plead with Israel.
ἀκούω βουνός ὁ κρίσις ὁ κύριος καί ὁ φάραγξ θεμέλιον ὁ γῆ ὅτι κρίσις ὁ κύριος πρός ὁ λαός αὐτός καί μετά ὁ ἰσραήλ διαἐλέγχω
«يَا شَعْبِي، مَاذَا صَنَعْتُ بِكَ وَبِمَاذَا أَضْجَرْتُكَ؟ اشْهَدْ عَلَيَّ!
עַמִּ֛י מֶה־עָשִׂ֥יתִי לְךָ֖ וּמָ֣ה הֶלְאֵתִ֑יךָ עֲנֵ֥ה בִֽי׃
Ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲓⲁⲓϥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲓⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϯⲙ̀ⲕⲁϩ ⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲁⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ ⲓⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϩⲉϫϩⲱϫⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ ⲁⲣⲓⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲏⲓ
“O my people, what have I done to you? In what have I wearied you? Answer me!
O my people, what have I done to thee? or wherein have I grieved thee? or wherein have I troubled thee? answer me.
λαός ἐγώ τίς ποιέω σύ ἤ τίς λυπέω σύ ἤ τίς παρα ἐνὀχλέω σύ ἀποκρίνω ἐγώ
إِنِّي أَصْعَدْتُكَ مِنْ أَرْضِ مِصْرَ، وَفَكَكْتُكَ مِنْ بَيْتِ الْعُبُودِيَّةِ، وَأَرْسَلْتُ أَمَامَكَ مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ وَمَرْيَمَ.
כִּ֤י הֶעֱלִתִ֙יךָ֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וּמִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִ֖ים פְּדִיתִ֑יךָ וָאֶשְׁלַ֣ח לְפָנֶ֔יךָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֖ה אַהֲרֹ֥ן וּמִרְיָֽם׃
Ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲁⲓⲉⲛⲕ ⲉ̀ⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲭⲏⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲥⲟⲧⲕ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ϯⲙⲉⲧⲃⲱⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ϧⲁⲧϩⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲩ̀ⲥⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲁⲁⲣⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ
For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and redeemed you from the house of bondage; and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
For I brought tee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bondage, and sent before thee Moses, and Aaron, and Mariam.
διότι ἀναἄγω σύ ἐκ γῆ αἴγυπτος καί ἐκ οἶκος δουλεία λυτρόω σύ καί ἐκ ἀποστέλλω πρό πρόσωπον σύ ὁ μωυσῆς καί ἀαρών καί μαριαμ
يَا شَعْبِي اذْكُرْ بِمَاذَا تَآمَرَ بَالاَقُ مَلِكُ مُوآبَ، وَبِمَاذَا أَجَابَهُ بَلْعَامُ بْنُ بَعُورَ، مِنْ شِطِّيمَ إِلَى الْجِلْجَالِ، لِكَيْ تَعْرِفَ إِجَادَةَ الرَّبِّ».
עַמִּ֗י זְכָר־נָא֙ מַה־יָּעַ֗ץ בָּלָק֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ מֹואָ֔ב וּמֶה־עָנָ֥ה אֹתֹ֖ו בִּלְעָ֣ם בֶּן־בְּעֹ֑ור מִן־הַשִּׁטִּים֙ עַד־הַגִּלְגָּ֔ל לְמַ֕עַן דַּ֖עַת צִדְקֹ֥ות יְהוָֽה׃
Ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲁⲣⲓⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲟϭⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ϧⲁⲣⲟⲕ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲃⲁⲗⲁⲁⲕ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲁⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩⲙⲉϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲃⲁⲗⲁⲁⲙ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲃⲉⲱⲣ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲥⲭⲟⲓⲛⲟⲥ ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ⲅⲁⲗⲅⲁⲗⲁ ϩⲟⲡⲱⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲉⲣⲫⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ⳪̅
O my people, remember what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Be′or answered him, and what happened from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the saving acts of the Lord.”
O my people, remember now, what counsel Balac king of Moab took against thee, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, from the reeds to Galgal; that the righteousness of the Lord might be known.
λαός ἐγώ μιμνήσκω δή τίς βουλεύω κατά σύ βαλακ βασιλεύς μωαβ καί τίς ἀποκρίνω αὐτός βαλααμ υἱός ὁ βεωρ ἀπό ὁ σχοίνος ἕως ὁ γαλγαλ ὅπως γιγνώσκω ὁ δικαιοσύνη ὁ κύριος
بِمَ أَتَقَدَّمُ إِلَى الرَّبِّ وَأَنْحَنِي لِلإِلَهِ الْعَلِيِّ؟ هَلْ أَتَقَدَّمُ بِمُحْرَقَاتٍ، بِعُجُولٍ أَبْنَاءِ سَنَةٍ؟
בַּמָּה֙ אֲקַדֵּ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה אִכַּ֖ף לֵאלֹהֵ֣י מָרֹ֑ום הַאֲקַדְּמֶ֣נּוּ בְעֹולֹ֔ות בַּעֲגָלִ֖ים בְּנֵ֥י שָׁנָֽה׃

What God Requires “With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?
Wherewithal shall I reach the Lord, and lay hold of my God most high? shall I reach him by whole-burnt-offerings, by calves of a year old?
ἐν τίς καταλαμβάνω ὁ κύριος ἀντιλαμβάνω θεός ἐγώ ὕψιστος εἰ καταλαμβάνω αὐτός ἐν ὁλοκαύτωμα ἐν μόσχος ἐνιαύσιος
هَلْ يُسَرُّ الرَّبُّ بِأُلُوفِ الْكِبَاشِ، بِرِبَوَاتِ أَنْهَارِ زَيْتٍ؟ هَلْ أُعْطِي بِكْرِي عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِي، ثَمَرَةَ جَسَدِي عَنْ خَطِيَّةِ نَفْسِي؟
הֲיִרְצֶ֤ה יְהוָה֙ בְּאַלְפֵ֣י אֵילִ֔ים בְּרִֽבְבֹ֖ות נַֽחֲלֵי־שָׁ֑מֶן הַאֶתֵּ֤ן בְּכֹורִי֙ פִּשְׁעִ֔י פְּרִ֥י בִטְנִ֖י חַטַּ֥את נַפְשִֽׁי׃
Ⲁⲛ ϥⲛⲁϣⲟⲡⲧ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛϣⲟ ⲛ̀ⲱⲓⲗⲓ ⲓⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲑⲃⲁ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲥ ⲙ̀ⲃⲁⲉⲙⲡⲓ ⲉⲩⲕⲉⲛⲓⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲓⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲁϯ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲙⲉⲧϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲙ̀ⲙⲓⲥⲓ ϧⲁ ⲛⲁⲙⲉⲧⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲡⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲛⲉϫⲓ ϧⲁ ⲫⲛⲁⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my first-born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
Will the Lord accept thousands of rams, or ten thousands of fat goats? should I give my first-born for ungodliness, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
εἰ προςδέχομαι κύριος ἐν χιλιάς κριός ἤ ἐν μυριάς χειμάρρους πίων εἰ δίδωμι πρωτότοκος ἐγώ ἀσέβεια καρπός κοιλία ἐγώ ὑπέρ ἁμαρτία ψυχή ἐγώ
قَدْ أَخْبَرَكَ أَيُّهَا الإِنْسَانُ مَا هُوَ صَالِحٌ، وَمَاذَا يَطْلُبُهُ مِنْكَ الرَّبُّ، إِلاَّ أَنْ تَصْنَعَ الْحَقَّ وَتُحِبَّ الرَّحْمَةَ، وَتَسْلُكَ مُتَوَاضِعًا مَعَ إِلَهِكَ.
הִגִּ֥יד לְךָ֛ אָדָ֖ם מַה־טֹּ֑וב וּמָֽה־יְהוָ֞ה דֹּורֵ֣שׁ מִמְּךָ֗ כִּ֣י אִם־עֲשֹׂ֤ות מִשְׁפָּט֙ וְאַ֣הֲבַת חֶ֔סֶד וְהַצְנֵ֥עַ לֶ֖כֶת עִם־אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ פ
Ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲟⲕ ⲫⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲓⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲕⲱϯ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲧⲕ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲉⲕⲓⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲁⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉ̀ⲙⲉⲛⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲕϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲕⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲉⲕⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩϯ
He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Has it not been told thee, O man, what is good? or what does the Lord require of thee, but to do justice, and love mercy, and be ready to walk with the Lord thy God?
εἰ ἀναἀγγέλλω σύ ἄνθρωπος τίς καλός ἤ τίς κύριος ἐκζητέω παρά σύ ἀλλά ἤ ὁ ποιέω κρίμα καί ἀγαπάω ἔλεος καί ἕτοιμος εἰμί ὁ πορεύομαι μετά κύριος θεός σύ
صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ يُنَادِي لِلْمَدِينَةِ، وَالْحِكْمَةُ تَرَى اسْمَكَ: «اِسْمَعُوا لِلْقَضِيبِ وَمَنْ رَسَمَهُ.
קֹ֤ול יְהוָה֙ לָעִ֣יר יִקְרָ֔א וְתוּשִׁיָּ֖ה יִרְאֶ֣ה שְׁמֶ֑ךָ שִׁמְע֥וּ מַטֶּ֖ה וּמִ֥י יְעָדָֽהּ׃
Ⲧⲥⲙⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡ⳪̅ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ϯⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ϧⲁⲧϩⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ϯⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϣ̀ⲥⲟⲗⲥⲉⲗ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲃⲁⲕⲓ
Cheating and Violence to Be Punished The voice of the Lord cries to the city— and it is sound wisdom to fear thy name: “Hear, O tribe and assembly of the city!
The Lord’s voice shall be proclaimed in the city, and he shall save those that fear his name: hear, O tribe; and who shall order the city?
φωνή κύριος ὁ πόλις ἐπικαλέω καί σώζω φοβέω ὁ ὄνομα αὐτός ἀκούω φυλή καί τίς κοσμέω πόλις
أَفِي بَيْتِ الشِّرِّيرِ بَعْدُ كُنُوزُ شَرٍّ وَإِيفَةٌ نَاقِصَةٌ مَلْعُونَةٌ؟
עֹ֗וד הַאִשׁ֙ בֵּ֣ית רָשָׁ֔ע אֹצְרֹ֖ות רֶ֑שַׁע וְאֵיפַ֥ת רָזֹ֖ון זְעוּמָֽה׃
Ⲙⲏ ⲟⲩⲭⲣⲱⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲉϥϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲁϩⲱⲣ ⲛ̀ⲁⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϭⲓⲛ̀ϫⲟⲛⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲱϣ
Can I forget the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is accursed?
Is there not fire, and the house of the wicked heaping up wicked treasures, and that with the pride of unrighteousness?
μή πῦρ καί οἶκος ἄνομος θησαυρίζω θησαυρός ἄνομος καί μετά ὕβρις ἀδικία
هَلْ أَتَزَكَّى مَعَ مَوَازِينِ الشَّرِّ وَمَعَ كِيسِ مَعَايِيرِ الْغِشِّ؟
הַאֶזְכֶּ֖ה בְּמֹ֣אזְנֵי רֶ֑שַׁע וּבְכִ֖יס אַבְנֵ֥י מִרְמָֽה׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲑⲙⲁⲓⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲁⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲁϣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛϣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲭⲣⲟϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲟⲩⲓ
Shall I acquit the man with wicked scales and with a bag of deceitful weights?
Shall the wicked be justified by the balanced, or deceitful weights in the bag,
εἰ δικαιόω ἐν ζυγός ἄνομος καί ἐν μάρσιππος στάθμιον δόλος
فَإِنَّ أَغْنِيَاءَهَا مَلآنُونَ ظُلْمًا، وَسُكَّانَهَا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِالْكَذِبِ، وَلِسَانَهُمْ فِي فَمِهِمْ غَاشٌّ.
אֲשֶׁ֤ר עֲשִׁירֶ֙יהָ֙ מָלְא֣וּ חָמָ֔ס וְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָ דִּבְּרוּ־שָׁ֑קֶר וּלְשֹׁונָ֖ם רְמִיָּ֥ה בְּפִיהֶֽם׃
Ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲙⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲣⲁⲙⲁⲟ ⲙ̀ⲙⲉⲧⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲥ ⲛⲁⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲟⲩⲗⲁⲥ ⲁϥϭⲓⲥⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲣⲱⲟⲩ
Your rich men are full of violence; your inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
whereby they have accumulated their ungodly wealth, and they that dwell in the city have uttered falsehoods, and their tongue has been exalted in their mouth?
ἐκ ὅς ὁ πλοῦτος αὐτός ἀσέβεια πίμπλημι καί ὁ καταοἰκέω αὐτός λαλέω ψευδής καί ὁ γλῶσσα αὐτός ὑψόω ἐν ὁ στόμα αὐτός
فَأَنَا قَدْ جَعَلْتُ جُرُوحَكَ عَدِيمَةَ الشِّفَاءِ، مُخْرِبًا مِنْ أَجْلِ خَطَايَاكَ.
וְגַם־אֲנִ֖י הֶחֱלֵ֣יתִי הַכֹּותֶ֑ךָ הַשְׁמֵ֖ם עַל־חַטֹּאתֶֽךָ׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲛ̀ϣⲁⲣⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟ
Therefore I have begun to smite you, making you desolate because of your sins.
Therefore will I begin to smite thee; I will destroy thee in thy sins.
καί ἐγώ ἄρχω ὁ πατάσσω σύ ἀπο ἀναἵζω σύ ἐπί ὁ ἁμαρτία σύ
أَنْتَ تَأْكُلُ وَلَا تَشْبَعُ، وَجُوعُكَ فِي جَوْفِكَ. وَتُعَزِّلُ وَلَا تُنَجِّي، وَالَّذِي تُنَجِّيهِ أَدْفَعُهُ إِلَى السَّيْفِ.
אַתָּ֤ה תֹאכַל֙ וְלֹ֣א תִשְׂבָּ֔ע וְיֶשְׁחֲךָ֖ בְּקִרְבֶּ֑ךָ וְתַסֵּג֙ וְלֹ֣א תַפְלִ֔יט וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּפַלֵּ֖ט לַחֶ֥רֶב אֶתֵּֽן׃

You shall eat, but not be satisfied, and there shall be hunger in your inward parts; you shall put away, but not save, and what you save I will give to the sword.
Thou shalt eat, and shalt not be satisfied; and there shall be darkness upon thee; and he shall depart from thee, and thou shalt not escape; and all that shall escape shall be delivered over to the sword.

אַתָּ֥ה תִזְרַ֖ע וְלֹ֣א תִקְצֹ֑ור אַתָּ֤ה תִדְרֹֽךְ־זַ֙יִת֙ וְלֹא־תָס֣וּךְ שֶׁ֔מֶן וְתִירֹ֖ושׁ וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁתֶּה־יָּֽיִן׃

You shall sow, but not reap; you shall tread olives, but not anoint yourselves with oil; you shall tread grapes, but not drink wine.
Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt press the olive, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with oil; and shalt make wine, but ye shall drink no wine: and the ordinances of my people shall be utterly abolished.
σύ σπείρω καί οὐ μή ἀμάω σύ πιέζω ἐλαία καί οὐ μή ἀλείφω ἔλαιον καί οἶνος καί οὐ μή πίνω καί ἀπο ἀναἵζω νόμιμος λαός ἐγώ
وَتُحْفَظُ فَرَائِضُ «عُمْرِي» وَجَمِيعُ أَعْمَالِ بَيْتِ «أَخْآبَ»، وَتَسْلُكُونَ بِمَشُورَاتِهِمْ، لِكَيْ أُسَلِّمَكَ لِلْخَرَابِ، وَسُكَّانَهَا لِلصَّفِيرِ، فَتَحْمِلُونَ عَارَ شَعْبِي».
וְיִשְׁתַּמֵּ֞ר חֻקֹּ֣ות עָמְרִ֗י וְכֹל֙ מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה בֵית־אַחְאָ֔ב וַתֵּלְכ֖וּ בְּמֹֽעֲצֹותָ֑ם לְמַעַן֩ תִּתִּ֨י אֹתְךָ֜ לְשַׁמָּ֗ה וְיֹשְׁבֶ֙יהָ֙ לִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה וְחֶרְפַּ֥ת עַמִּ֖י תִּשָּֽׂאוּ׃ פ

For you have kept the statutes of Omri, and all the works of the house of Ahab; and you have walked in their counsels; that I may make you a desolation, and your inhabitants a hissing; so you shall bear the scorn of the peoples.”
For thou hast kept the statues of Zambri, and done all the works of the house of Achaab; and ye have walked in their ways, that I might deliver thee to utter destruction, and those that inhabit the city to hissing: and ye shall bear the reproach of nations.
καί φυλάσσω ὁ δικαίωμα ζαμβρι καί πᾶς ὁ ἔργον οἶκος αχααβ καί πορεύομαι ἐν ὁ βουλή αὐτός ὅπως παραδίδωμι σύ εἰς ἀφανισμός καί ὁ καταοἰκέω αὐτός εἰς συρισμός καί ὄνειδος λαός λαμβάνω

وَيْلٌ لِي! لأَنِّي صِرْتُ كَجَنَى الصَّيْفِ، كَخُصَاصَةِ الْقِطَافِ، لَا عُنْقُودَ لِلأَكْلِ وَلَا بَاكُورَةَ تِينَةٍ اشْتَهَتْهَا نَفْسِي.
אַ֣לְלַי לִ֗י כִּ֤י הָיִ֙יתִי֙ כְּאָסְפֵּי־קַ֔יִץ כְּעֹלְלֹ֖ת בָּצִ֑יר אֵין־אֶשְׁכֹּ֣ול לֶאֱכֹ֔ול בִּכּוּרָ֖ה אִוְּתָ֥ה נַפְשִֽׁי׃

The Total Corruption of the People Woe is me! For I have become as when the summer fruit has been gathered, as when the vintage has been gleaned: there is no cluster to eat, no first-ripe fig which my soul desires.
Alas for me! for I am become as one gathering straw in harvest, and as one gathering grape-gleanings in the vintage, when there is no cluster for me to eat the first-ripe fruit: alas my soul!
οἴμμοι ὅτι γίγνομαι ὡς συνἄγω καλάμη ἐν ἀμητός καί ὡς ἐπιφυλλίς ἐν τρύγητος οὐ ὑποἄρχω βότρυς ὁ ἐσθίω ὁ πρωτόγονος οἴμμοι ψυχή
قَدْ بَادَ التَّقِيُّ مِنَ الأَرْضِ، وَلَيْسَ مُسْتَقِيمٌ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ. جَمِيعُهُمْ يَكْمُنُونَ لِلدِّمَاءِ، يَصْطَادُونَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا بِشَبَكَةٍ.
אָבַ֤ד חָסִיד֙ מִן־הָאָ֔רֶץ וְיָשָׁ֥ר בָּאָדָ֖ם אָ֑יִן כֻּלָּם֙ לְדָמִ֣ים יֶאֱרֹ֔בוּ אִ֥ישׁ אֶת־אָחִ֖יהוּ יָצ֥וּדוּ חֵֽרֶם׃

The godly man has perished from the earth, and there is none upright among men; they all lie in wait for blood, and each hunts his brother with a net.
For the godly is perished from the earth; and there is none among men that orders his way aright: they all quarrel even to blood: they grievously afflict every one his neighbour:
ὅτι ἀποὀλλύω εὐλαβής ἀπό ὁ γῆ καί καταὀρθόω ἐν ἄνθρωπος οὐ ὑποἄρχω πᾶς εἰς αἷμα δικάζω ἕκαστος ὁ πλησίον αὐτός ἐκθλίβω ἐκθλίβω
اَلْيَدَانِ إِلَى الشَّرِّ مُجْتَهِدَتَانِ. الرَّئِيسُ طَالِبٌ وَالْقَاضِي بِالْهَدِيَّةِ، وَالْكَبِيرُ مُتَكَلِّمٌ بِهَوَى نَفْسِهِ فَيُعَكِّشُونَهَا.
עַל־הָרַ֤ע כַּפַּ֙יִם֙ לְהֵיטִ֔יב הַשַּׂ֣ר שֹׁאֵ֔ל וְהַשֹּׁפֵ֖ט בַּשִּׁלּ֑וּם וְהַגָּדֹ֗ול דֹּבֵ֨ר הַוַּ֥ת נַפְשֹׁ֛ו ה֖וּא וַֽיְעַבְּתֽוּהָ׃

Their hands are upon what is evil, to do it diligently; the prince and the judge ask for a bribe, and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul; thus they weave it together.
they prepare their hands for mischief, the prince asks a reward, and the judge speaks flattering words; it is the desire of their soul:
ἐπί ὁ κακός ὁ χείρ αὐτός ἑτοιμάζω ὁ ἄρχων αἰτέω καί ὁ κριτής εἰρηνικός λόγος λαλέω καταθύμιος ψυχή αὐτός εἰμί καί ἐκαἱρέω
أَحْسَنُهُمْ مِثْلُ الْعَوْسَجِ، وَأَعْدَلُهُمْ مِنْ سِيَاجِ الشَّوْكِ. يَوْمَ مُرَاقِبِيكَ عِقَابُكَ قَدْ جَاءَ. الآنَ يَكُونُ ارْتِبَاكُهُمْ.
טֹובָ֣ם כְּחֵ֔דֶק יָשָׁ֖ר מִמְּסוּכָ֑ה יֹ֤ום מְצַפֶּ֙יךָ֙ פְּקֻדָּתְךָ֣ בָ֔אָה עַתָּ֥ה תִהְיֶ֖ה מְבוּכָתָֽם׃

The best of them is like a brier, the most upright of them a thorn hedge. The day of their watchmen, of their punishment, has come; now their confusion is at hand.
therefore I will take away their goods as a devouring moth, and as one who acts by a rigid rule in a day of visitation. Woe, woe, thy times of vengeance are come; now shall be their lamentations.
ὁ ἀγαθός αὐτός ὡς σός ἐκτρώγω καί βαδίζω ἐπί κανών ἐν ἡμέρα σκοπιά οὐαί οὐαί ὁ ἐκδίκησις σύ ἥκω νῦν εἰμί κλαυθμός αὐτός
لَا تَأْتَمِنُوا صَاحِبًا. لَا تَثِقُوا بِصَدِيقٍ. احْفَظْ أَبْوَابَ فَمِكَ عَنِ الْمُضْطَجِعَةِ فِي حِضْنِكَ.
אַל־תַּאֲמִ֣ינוּ בְרֵ֔עַ אַֽל־תִּבְטְח֖וּ בְּאַלּ֑וּף מִשֹּׁכֶ֣בֶת חֵיקֶ֔ךָ שְׁמֹ֖ר פִּתְחֵי־פִֽיךָ׃
Ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲧⲉⲛϩⲉⲧ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲫⲏⲣ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲩⲅⲟⲩⲙⲉⲛⲟⲥ ⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕ ⲉ̀ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲕⲉⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲥ ⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲭⲁ ϩⲗⲓ ϧⲁⲧⲟⲧⲥ
Put no trust in a neighbor, have no confidence in a friend; guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom;
Trust not in friends, and confide not in guides: beware of thy wife, so as not to commit anything to her.
μή καταπιστεύω ἐν φίλος καί μή ἐλπίζω ἐπί ἡγέομαι ἀπό ὁ συγκοίτος σύ φυλάσσω ὁ ἀνατίθημι τις αὐτός
لأَنَّ الابْنَ مُسْتَهِينٌ بِالأَبِ، وَالْبِنْتَ قَائِمَةٌ عَلَى أُمِّهَا، وَالْكَنَّةَ عَلَى حَمَاتِهَا، وَأَعْدَاءُ الإِنْسَانِ أَهْلُ بَيْتِهِ.
כִּֽי־בֵן֙ מְנַבֵּ֣ל אָ֔ב בַּ֚ת קָמָ֣ה בְאִמָּ֔הּ כַּלָּ֖ה בַּחֲמֹתָ֑הּ אֹיְבֵ֥י אִ֖ישׁ אַנְשֵׁ֥י בֵיתֹֽו׃

for the son treats the father with contempt, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
For the son dishonours his father, the daughter will rise up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law: those in his house shall be all a man’s enemies.
διότι υἱός ἀτιμάζω πατήρ θυγάτηρ ἐπι ἀναἵστημι ἐπί ὁ μήτηρ αὐτός νύμφη ἐπί ὁ πενθερά αὐτός ἐχθρός ἀνήρ πᾶς ὁ ἀνήρ ὁ ἐν ὁ οἶκος αὐτός
وَلكِنَّنِي أُرَاقِبُ الرَّبَّ، أَصْبِرُ لإِلَهِ خَلاَصِي. يَسْمَعُنِي إِلَهِي.
וַאֲנִי֙ בַּיהוָ֣ה אֲצַפֶּ֔ה אֹוחִ֖ילָה לֵאלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׁעִ֑י יִשְׁמָעֵ֖נִי אֱלֹהָֽי׃

But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

Penitence and Trust in God Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.

μή ἐπιχαίρω ἐγώ ὁ ἔχθρα ἐγώ ὅτι πίπτω καί ἀναἵστημι διότι ἐάν καταἵζω ἐν ὁ σκότος κύριος φωτίζω ἐγώ
أَحْتَمِلُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ لأَنِّي أَخْطَأْتُ إِلَيْهِ، حَتَّى يُقِيمَ دَعْوَايَ وَيُجْرِيَ حَقِّي. سَيُخْرِجُنِي إِلَى النُّورِ، سَأَنْظُرُ بِرَّهُ.
זַ֤עַף יְהוָה֙ אֶשָּׂ֔א כִּ֥י חָטָ֖אתִי לֹ֑ו עַד֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָרִ֤יב רִיבִי֙ וְעָשָׂ֣ה מִשְׁפָּטִ֔י יֹוצִיאֵ֣נִי לָאֹ֔ור אֶרְאֶ֖ה בְּצִדְקָתֹֽו׃

I will bear the indignation of the Lord because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes judgment for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I shall behold his deliverance.

وَتَرَى عَدُوَّتِي فَيُغَطِّيهَا الْخِزْيُ، الْقَائِلَةُ لِي: «أَيْنَ هُوَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكِ؟» عَيْنَايَ سَتَنْظُرَانِ إِلَيْهَا. اَلآنَ تَصِيرُ لِلدَّوْسِ كَطِينِ الأَزِقَّةِ.
וְתֵרֶ֤א אֹיַ֙בְתִּי֙ וּתְכַסֶּ֣הָ בוּשָׁ֔ה הָאֹמְרָ֣ה אֵלַ֔י אַיֹּ֖ו יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑יִךְ עֵינַי֙ תִּרְאֶ֣ינָּה בָּ֔הּ עַתָּ֛ה תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה לְמִרְמָ֖ס כְּטִ֥יט חוּצֹֽות׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲙⲉⲧϫⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϫⲟⲗϩⲥ ⲙ̀ⲡϣⲓⲡⲓ ⲑⲏ ⲉⲧϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲑⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲁⲃⲁⲗ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲥ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϩⲱⲙⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲥ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲙⲓ
Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me, “Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will gloat over her; now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.
And she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shall clothe herself with shame, who says, Where is the Lord thy God? mine eyes shall look upon her: now shall she be for trampling as mire in the ways.

A Prophecy of Restoration A day for the building of your walls! In that day the boundary shall be far extended.

In that day they will come to you, from Assyria to Egypt, and from Egypt to the River, from sea to sea and from mountain to mountain.
And thy cities shall be levelled, and parted among the Assyrians; and thy strong cities shall be parted from Tyre to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.

וְהָיְתָ֥ה הָאָ֛רֶץ לִשְׁמָמָ֖ה עַל־יֹֽשְׁבֶ֑יהָ מִפְּרִ֖י מַֽעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ ס

But the earth will be desolate because of its inhabitants, for the fruit of their doings.

Shepherd thy people with thy staff, the flock of thy inheritance, who dwell alone in a forest in the midst of a garden land; let them feed in Bashan and Gilead as in the days of old.
Tend thy people with thy rod, the sheep of thine inheritance, those that inhabit by themselves the thicket in the midst of Carmel: they shall feed in the land of Basan, and in the land of Galaad, as in the days of old.

The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall lay their hands on their mouths; their ears shall be deaf;

يَلْحَسُونَ التُّرَابَ كَالْحَيَّةِ، كَزَوَاحِفِ الأَرْضِ. يَخْرُجُونَ بِالرِّعْدَةِ مِنْ حُصُونِهِمْ، يَأْتُونَ بِالرُّعْبِ إِلَى الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا وَيَخَافُونَ مِنْكَ.
יְלַחֲכ֤וּ עָפָר֙ כַּנָּחָ֔שׁ כְּזֹחֲלֵ֣י אֶ֔רֶץ יִרְגְּז֖וּ מִמִּסְגְּרֹֽתֵיהֶ֑ם אֶל־יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ יִפְחָ֔דוּ וְיִֽרְא֖וּ מִמֶּֽךָּ׃
Ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲗⲱϫϩ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛϩⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲱϣϯ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲧⲁⲧϩⲟ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲧⲱⲙⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡ⳪̅ ⲡⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ϧⲁϫⲱϥ
they shall lick the dust like a serpent, like the crawling things of the earth; they shall come trembling out of their strongholds, they shall turn in dread to the Lord our God, and they shall fear because of thee.
They shall lick the dust as serpents crawling on the earth, they shall be confounded in their holes; they shall be amazed at the Lord our God, and will be afraid of thee.
λείχω χοῦς ὡς ὄφις σύρω γῆ συνχέω ἐν συγκλεισμός αὐτός ἐπί ὁ κύριος θεός ἐγώ ἐκἵστημι καί φοβέω ἀπό σύ
مَنْ هُوَ إِلَهٌ مِثْلُكَ غَافِرٌ الإِثْمَ وَصَافِحٌ عَنِ الذَّنْبِ لِبَقِيَّةِ مِيرَاثِهِ! لَا يَحْفَظُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ غَضَبَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ يُسَرُّ بِالرَّأْفَةِ.
מִי־אֵ֣ל כָּמֹ֗וךָ נֹשֵׂ֤א עָוֹן֙ וְעֹבֵ֣ר עַל־פֶּ֔שַׁע לִשְׁאֵרִ֖ית נַחֲלָתֹ֑ו לֹא־הֶחֱזִ֤יק לָעַד֙ אַפֹּ֔ו כִּֽי־חָפֵ֥ץ חֶ֖סֶד הֽוּא׃
Ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲕⲱⲗⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛϭⲓⲛ̀ϫⲟⲛⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲕⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲙⲉⲧⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲥⲱϫⲡ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲁⲙⲁϩⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥϫⲱⲛⲧ ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲫⲛⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲟⲩⲁϣϥ
God’s Compassion and Steadfast Love Who is a God like thee, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger for ever because he delights in steadfast love.
Who is a God like thee, cancelling iniquities, and passing over the sins of the remnant of his inheritance? and he has not kept his anger for a testimony, for he delights in mercy.
τίς θεός ὥσπερ σύ ἐκαἴρω ἀδικία καί ὑπερβαίνω ἀσέβεια ὁ κατάλοιπος ὁ κληρονομία αὐτός καί οὐ συνἔχω εἰς μαρτύριον ὀργή αὐτός ὅτι θελητής ἔλεος εἰμί
يَعُودُ يَرْحَمُنَا، يَدُوسُ آثَامَنَا، وَتُطْرَحُ فِي أَعْمَاقِ الْبَحْرِ جَمِيعُ خَطَايَاهُمْ.
יָשׁ֣וּב יְרַֽחֲמֵ֔נוּ יִכְבֹּ֖שׁ עֲוֹֽנֹתֵ֑ינוּ וְתַשְׁלִ֛יךְ בִּמְצֻלֹ֥ות יָ֖ם כָּל־חַטֹּאותָֽם׃
Ⲛ̀ⲑⲟϥ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϣⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ϧⲁⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲑⲱⲙⲥ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛϭⲓⲛϫⲟⲛⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲃⲉⲣⲃⲱⲣⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲛⲓϣⲱⲕ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲫⲓⲟⲙ
He will again have compassion upon us, he will tread our iniquities under foot. Thou wilt cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.
He will return and have mercy upon us; he will sink our iniquities, and they shall be cast into the depth of the sea, even all our sins.
αὐτός ἐπιστρέφω καί οἰκτείρω ἐγώ καταδύω ὁ ἀδικία ἐγώ καί ἀποῥίπτω εἰς ὁ βάθος ὁ θάλασσα πᾶς ὁ ἁμαρτία ἐγώ
تَصْنَعُ الأَمَانَةَ لِيَعْقُوبَ وَالرَّأْفَةَ لإِبْرَاهِيمَ، اللَّتَيْنِ حَلَفْتَ لآبَائِنَا مُنْذُ أَيَّامِ الْقِدَمِ.
תִּתֵּ֤ן אֱמֶת֙ לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב חֶ֖סֶד לְאַבְרָהָ֑ם אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥עְתָּ לַאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ מִ֥ימֵי קֶֽדֶם׃
Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲛⲁⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁⲃⲣⲁⲁⲙ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲱⲣⲕ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛⲓⲟϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ϣⲟⲣⲡ
Thou wilt show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as thou hast sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
He shall give blessings truly to Jacob, and mercy to Abraam, as thou swarest to our fathers, according to the former days.
δίδωμι ἀλήθεια ὁ ἰακώβ ἔλεος ὁ ἀβραάμ καθότι ὄμνυμι ὁ πατήρ ἐγώ κατά ὁ ἡμέρα ὁ ἔμπροσθεν
