και μη δυναμενοι να πλησιασωσιν εις αυτον εξ αιτιας του οχλου, εχαλασαν την στεγην οπου ητο, και διατρυπησαντες καταβιβαζουσι τον κραββατον, εφ' ου κατεκειτο ο παραλυτικος.
English
And having not been able, to bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon (the) housetop, they uncovered the roof of the house in which he was (imperf.): and having broken (it) up, they let down the bed on which the paralysed lay (lit. slept).

فلما رأى يسوع ايمانهم قال للمفلوج يا بنيّ مغفورة لك خطاياك.
Και ευθυς νοησας ο Ιησους δια του πνευματος αυτου οτι ουτω διαλογιζονται καθ' εαυτους, ειπε προς αυτους· Δια τι διαλογιζεσθε ταυτα εν ταις καρδιαις σας;

And immediately Jesus knew in his spirit, that they reason thus within themselves, he said to them: 'Wherefore reason ye these (things) in your hearts?

أيّما ايسر ان يقال للمفلوج مغفورة لك خطاياك. أم ان يقال قم واحمل سريرك وامش.
τι ειναι ευκολωτερον, να ειπω προς τον παραλυτικον, Συγκεχωρημεναι ειναι αι αμαρτιαι σου, η να ειπω, Σηκωθητι και επαρε τον κραββατον σου και περιπατει;
English
What is easy to say to the paralysed: "Thy sins are forgiven thee," or to say: "Rise, take up thy bed, and go?"

ولكن لكي تعلموا ان لابن الانسان سلطانا على الارض ان يغفر الخطايا. قال للمفلوج
Και ηγερθη ευθυς και σηκωσας τον κραββατον, εξηλθεν ενωπιον παντων, ωστε εξεπληττοντο παντες και εδοξαζον τον Θεον, λεγοντες οτι ουδεποτε ειδομεν τοιαυτα.
English
And immediately he rose, he took up his bed, and came out before every one, so that they all wondered, and glorified God, saying: 'We never saw it (lit. being) thus.'

ثم خرج ايضا الى البحر. وأتى اليه كل الجمع فعلّمهم.
Και ενω εκαθητο εις την τραπεζαν εν τη οικια αυτου, συνεκαθηντο και πολλοι τελωναι και αμαρτωλοι μετα του Ιησου και των μαθητων αυτου· διοτι ησαν πολλοι, και ηκολουθησαν αυτον.

And it came to pass, (as he is) sitting-at-meat in his house, (that) there were many publicans and sinners, they were sitting-at-meat with Jesus and his disciples, there were many. And the scribes and the Pharisees were walking after him;

واما الكتبة والفريسيون فلما رأوه يأكل مع العشارين والخطاة قالوا لتلاميذه ما باله يأكل ويشرب مع العشارين والخطاة.
Οι δε γραμματεις και Φαρισαιοι, ιδοντες αυτον τρωγοντα μετα των τελωνων και αμαρτωλων, ελεγον προς τους μαθητας αυτου· Δια τι μετα των τελωνων και αμαρτωλων τρωγει και πινει;
English
and having seen that he eateth with the publicans and the sinners, they were saying to his disciples: Wherefore doth your teacher eat and drink with the publicans and the sinners?

فلما سمع يسوع قال لهم. لا يحتاج الاصحاء الى طبيب بل المرضى. لم آت لادعو ابرارا بل خطاة الى التوبة.
Και ακουσας ο Ιησους, λεγει προς αυτους· Δεν εχουσι χρειαν ιατρου οι υγιαινοντες, αλλ' οι πασχοντες· δεν ηλθον δια να καλεσω δικαιους αλλα αμαρτωλους εις μετανοιαν.
English
And Jesus having heard, said to them They who are strong have not need of the physician, but they who are diseased: for I came not to invite the righteous, but the sinners.'

وكان تلاميذ يوحنا والفريسيين يصومون. فجاءوا وقالوا له لماذا يصوم تلاميذ يوحنا والفريسيين واما تلاميذك فلا يصومون.
Οι μαθηται δε του Ιωαννου και οι των Φαρισαιων ενηστευον. Και ερχονται και λεγουσι προς αυτον· Δια τι οι μαθηται του Ιωαννου και οι των Φαρισαιων νηστευουσιν, οι δε μαθηται σου δεν νηστευουσι;

And the disciples of John and those of the Pharisees were fasting: and they came, they said to him: Wherefore (do) the disciples of John and those of the Pharisees fast, but thine fast not?'

فقال لهم يسوع هل يستطيع بنو العرس ان يصوموا والعريس معهم. ما دام العريس معهم لا يستطيعون ان يصوموا.
Και ειπε προς αυτους ο Ιησους· Μηπως δυνανται οι υιοι του νυμφωνος, ενοσω ο νυμφιος ειναι μετ' αυτων, να νηστευωσιν; οσον καιρον εχουσι τον νυμφιον μεθ' εαυτων, δεν δυνανται να νηστευωσι·
English
And Jesus answered, he said to them: Is it possible to make (the) sons of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them? All (the) time that the bridegroom is with them, it is not possible for them to fast.

ولكن ستأتي ايام حين يرفع العريس عنهم فحينئذ يصومون في تلك الايام.
Και ουδεις ραπτει επιρραμμα αγναφου πανιου επι ιματιον παλαιον· ει δε μη, το αναπληρωμα αυτου το νεον αφαιρει απο του παλαιου, και γινεται σχισμα χειροτερον.
English
For no one putteth (lit. throweth) a piece of new cloth to an old garment: otherwise the new taketh away the filling-up of the old, and a rent becometh worse.

وليس احد يجعل خمرا جديدة في زقاق عتيقة لئلا تشق الخمر الجديدة الزقاق فالخمر تنصب والزقاق تتلف. بل يجعلون خمرا جديدة في زقاق جديدة
Και ουδεις βαλλει οινον νεον εις ασκους παλαιους· ει δε μη, ο οινος ο νεος διασχιζει τους ασκους, και ο οινος εκχεεται και οι ασκοι φθειρονται· αλλα πρεπει οινος νεος να βαλληται εις ασκους νεους.
English
And they do not put (lit. throw) new wine into old bottles: otherwise the wine rendeth the bottles, and the wine perisheth, and the bottles: but they put new wine into new bottles.'

واجتاز في السبت بين الزروع. فابتدأ تلاميذه يقطفون السنابل وهم سائرون.
πως εισηλθεν εις τον οικον του Θεου επι Αβιαθαρ του αρχιερεως, και εφαγε τους αρτους της προθεσεως, τους οποιους δεν ειναι συγκεχωρημενον ειμη εις τους ιερεις να φαγωσι, και εδωκε και εις τους οντας μετ' αυτου;
English
How he went into the house of God, in time of Abiathar the chief priest, and ate the shewhread, which it was not lawful for him to cat except (for) the priests alone, and gave to them also who were (imperf) with him there.'
